Please help me pick a diamond

To be clear, you are looking for a princess cut center?

oh yes sorry forgot to mention it, =) princess cut center.

Hi Kevin,
You can not pick out fancy cut stones (including princess cuts) without images. Well, you could but there would be no
telling what you might get. There are many different types of faceting patterns on princess cut stones. Where are
you getting the setting? Blue Nile?

I suggest you look somewhere that has images of their stones so you can see what you are getting and whether you
like the faceting pattern or not and whether the light return is good or not. James Allen, Good Old Gold, Whiteflash
and Brian Gavin are all good places to shop for princess cuts. Aset images are also need to check on light return.
All these places can provide them.

I'll look around and see what I can find. What color are your side stones?

Edit - I just noticed that stone was a signature ideal. I think those are in house (right?) and they can send you a picture?

Yeh the stone is Sig Ideal so i think may be they can send me images of the stone. I'm getting the setting at Blue Nile as well.
I would prefer sticking with Blue Nile due to the reward I get from using credit card there but if other site have better value for the money, i will consider them as well.

As far as image, would this do?

Here's the setting and the side stones will be princess cut diamonds as well, about .5 carat each side

Well, its better than nothing! At least you can see the faceting pattern somewhat and it looks like it has ideal light return.
Now you have to pick side stones to go with it. (try to find the same faceting pattern).

The Brian Gavin is really nice haha. I also like the trellis II setting there, however it is out of budget and i get no discount or reward for Brian Gavin site.
Is there anything as nice as these in Blue Nile collection of Sig Ideal?
I narrowed down the list a little bit:

If your budget is 6000, I'd go for at least H color in the Blue Nile Signature.

But that still returns too many options, so what is your next biggest priority? Cost? Carat?

next priority is the cost. Carat can be flexible

That one is nice, too. Ask BN to recommend one.
