Hello, last week the nice people of this forum gave me some good feedback on two round brilliant diamonds. I found another diamond that seems to be a good contender. Can you help judge these two diamonds (winner from last time, and new contender)? Which one is better? or neither and I should keep looking? Thank you for your feedback!

Previous winner
Diamond 1: 1.68 carat, F, VS1, 7.63 x 7.67 x 4.68mm
table: 57%
depth: 61.2%
crown angle: 34.2%
pavilion angle: 40.8%
HCA score: 1.2

New Contender
Diamond 2: 1.75 carat, E, VS1, 7.78 x 7.81 x 4.70 mm
table: 57.5 %
depth: 60.3%
crown angle: 33.9%
pavilion angle: 40.9%
HCA score: 1.2

New contender is pushing into 60/60 territory so the “look” of it may be a little different compared with the previous winner. More likely to return white light than fire. Both have very good ASET scope images.

Also depends on the price differential between the two and whether the one colour grade upgrade and 0.1mm difference in diameter is worth it in your eyes.

Thanks bmfang! The price difference isn't too bad between these two diamonds, and my goal is too pick the better diamond. I like that diamond 2 is bigger, but I'm concerned about the lack of green in the circled area. Seems like most of the reference ASET images for ideal diamonds have a little bit of green there, but it's almost non-existent for diamond 2.
