They're Si1 not VS2. I think you're a little unsure of Si1? Blue Nile can tell you if they're eyeclean, and I think you'd have more to worry about with an Si2. From what I've read here, Si1s from a reputable place like BN are often eyeclean. And like you said, you can always return - and lower the chances of disappointment by asking BN if they're eyeclean, too. Just seems a pity to miss out on a bigger, cheaper diamond because of clarity concerns. Many people on this website have eyeclean Si1s. However, if you're more comfortable with VS2 then I think the one you linked will also be lovely.
This one that ame chose is an excellent price, almost 70 pounds cheaper than the VS2, and a little bigger:

This one that ame chose is 130 pounds cheaper than the VS2, and still a couple of points bigger:

If you prefer a VS2 for mindclean reasons, that's one thing and you should get the 0.56 VS2 if you genuinely prefer higher clarity for its own sake.
But if you'd be happy with an eyeclean Si1 and are drawing toward the VS2 mainly out of purchase nervousness, it would be a pity to miss out on diamonds that are slightly larger and many pounds cheaper.

I think what differentiates this diamond is the size. (All the diamonds in this thread have great-looking cuts)

Zah, I predict your next question is going to be about twinning wisps, since that is the inclusion listed on the cert for this diamond!![]()
So here are some links: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/twinning-wisp.26447/

From casting my eye over those threads, it seems that twinning wisps graded Si1 from a reputable lab are OK, and if the're graded Si2 you'd have more reason to worry.
I think it really comes down to how much you want to spend, and if spending another 163 pounds to get a diamond that's six points bigger is worth it to you. Be aware that people on Pricescope talk about DSS (diamond shrinkage syndrome). For myself, I try to get the best I can stretch to at the time because I figure that another 150 or so isn't going to mean much over the rest of my lifetime but I'll always have the bigger diamond. But that's just my psychology. Many people are more frugal than I am. I think that 0.58 for 1260 pounds will also be a beautiful and cost-effective choice.
ame said:I think I can answer for her since I was talking to her about this--the reason she didn't select that stone was that she ultimately preferred the mind-cleanliness of a VS stone plus the greater likelihood of the stone being eyeclean to her standards. The size difference is not great enough to warrant the carat increase. Correct me if I am wrong, ZahZah.
Thanks ame for answering you are correct.ame|1418135290|3798220 said:I think I can answer for her since I was talking to her about this--the reason she didn't select that stone was that she ultimately preferred the mind-cleanliness of a VS stone plus the greater likelihood of the stone being eyeclean to her standards. Hey sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.Kalliope|1418102549|3798079 said:Hey zahzah,
I assume you didn't go with the 0.64 H SI1 since it's available again at BN. May I ask why (I have been thinking of buying it myself)?
Kalliope|1418735221|3802205 said:Hey zah_zah!
I eventually asked for a picture of the 0.64 and posted it in my thread, too. Although the stone is eyeclean the inclusion was too visible for me so I passed on this one.
May I ask you about the purchasing process at BN? I saw that they add the VAT to the total price, so you don't have to pay anything when the package arrives?
Can't wait to see some pics of your necklace!
I bet it's perfect. I can't wait to see!!!zah_zah|1418824500|3802916 said:My pendant has arrived although I'm at work so will have to go collect it! I'm so excited but already thinking if it's to small eeek
