I am just having difficulty believing that Rolex uses a lot of MOP that is undesirable. I would think that would be a very rare occurrence. I have two watches with MOP with diamond markers and they are both really pretty...you mainly see white.

I don't think that they use a lot of 'undesirable' pieces per se, DS - I think that it's more an issue of people having different preferences in mop characteristics. For instance, some would prefer a multicolored piece with a lot of flashes, while others might prefer a more toned down piece that looks less 'busy' and is easier to read. I have only seen one Rolex mop dial that was really a dud - that was the pink mop one that I saw on the weekend. I have also seen a few that are uneven - ie: 'busy' in one corner or side, but pretty flat on the other. Again, I don't mean to infer that Rolex is using undesirable pieces, just that mop is such a unique, one-of-a-kind substance that different characteristics appeal to different people. I love mop, I'm just not sure that it's the right choice for this watch (right now, anyways). Also, I'm not sure if I want to incur the additional $2500 for a mop dial. I do still adore the mop, though!!

I found a write up of Tgal's watch & there's also a link to her thread in there. https://www.pricescope.com/blog/jewel-week-zenith-heritage-ultra-thin-moonphase-watch

ETA: The organic ripply luminous quality just makes my heart go pitty pat.

Hey, I knew DF's watch made jewel of the week but had no idea mine did! Thanks for posting that Deco.

I've been following this thread but haven't put in my two cents because I can't decide. Obviously I love mop but with that watch I really like the silver with diamond markers too. ::)

Hi DF! I will definitely post wrist shots when I receive the watch, but it will be a bit of a wait. I ordered the watch yesterday (I decided on the silver diamond dial after all), but it will be a 6 - 8 week wait as it's a custom order. The waiting is now the hardest part!...

i like the silver with diamond markers but i'm biased...

Same here, MOP isn't my favorite [sunny most of the year here]. Platinum with diamond markers is what I would choose.
ETA: they are all gorgeous though!

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I can't wait to get this watch and will definitely post pics when I do. Thanks so much to everyone who chimed in throughout the various stages of my decision making process! Pricescope is the BEST!

Bumping this in hopes of pictures.
