I have a 1.65 diamond set into a colett setting done by David Klass. I currently wear a large belcher chain with a yellow gold diamond cobble stone small star from Singlestone, and a diamond crescent moon in platinum and yellow gold from David Klass. The have a good amount of heft to them.

I love my large belcher chain from Ashley Zhang. So I am looking at 4 of her chains but can’t decide. I worry on might be too fine. The other 3 I think will be ok.

Thank you in advance for your help!

The first 2 photos are of the same chain.

The next two photos are the small belcher and the Kate.

The last 2 photos are of the same chain.

What a great project! I LOVE the squareness of the paperclip shape of the Wynn chain along with the 2 tone gold. What shape is your collet pendant, round?

I have an antique chain I LOVE similar to Georgia link chain and it reminds me of barbed wire. It’s a little pokey when wearing but worth it.

The Belcher Kate chain is a great basic and I like the centered dog-clip. It may be the most comfortable and the pendant will the the center of attention.

Long story short, don’t think you can go wrong. Can’t wait to see your final choice.

Sorry, that is huge!

Thanks! I am so happy how the pendant turned out, so I am excited about this project! I LOVE the Wynn too. Of course it is the most expensive! At 4k it is more than I would ideally like to spend. On the other hand, I have worn my belcher chain with the star and crescent moon every single day since I got it. So cost per wear is reasonable - at least that is what I am telling myself lol!

I'm really glad you said that about the Georgia chain. I did notice that it might look a bit uncomfortable since I will be sleeping in it. I do LOVE the look of this chain too!

The Kate is probably what I would go with if I were not layering. The pendant doesn't have a lot of heft to it, so I think that chain would work very well. I just wonder if it is too delicate if I want to wear it with my other necklace, which I do.

So for that reason alone I thought perhaps the small belcher might be best choice. I also think it's the safest choice, but the least exciting choice.

Does seeing the photo and reading what my thought process give you any more of an opinion?

Thank you @luckygreen317 for your detailed response!!!

Gosh you can’t go wrong with any of those! I can’t decide bc I love them all

My problem exactly! Ashley's belcher chain has been perfect. The look is perfect, it's holding up like a dream. I really wanted to stay with another one of her chains. It isn't going to be an easy decision. I really wish I could try them on!

Do you have a real-life photo of the collet pendant and your current chain with star and crescent pendant to try to imagine the layering?

I think any of your choices will be beautiful with the collet so now I'm just trying to imagine the full look.

@newtojewels you will probably laugh, but I took a photo of it recently, looked at the picture, saw my chest and got in for a Moxi laser! How did I not see that looking in the mirror???
If my daughter comes over this evening, I’ll take a photo on her.
I don’t have a photo of both pieces together. I need the chain first!
You don’t have one in particular you like best?
I was hoping you’d respond, you have a good eye!!! Thank you!

I'm convinced cameras make everything worse, I'm sure your chest was fine! But I hope you get results you like from the laser :)

I like the Eames Kate chain, but it's hard to know the scale with your other chain. I think it has more interest than the plain belcher, still looks comfortable, and is more classic than the Wynn.

I’m hoping you are right, but there were way too many sun spots, so I’m not sure about that lol

The Kate was my original choice. It has more of a contrast to the large belcher than the small belcher obviously.

I’m not sure at all about the Georgia being comfortable enough for daily wear. The Wynn- I love it! 4k just seems like a lot for a chain…
I love heft. My Colett setting is nowhere near as heft as my star and crescent moon. So I question how it will look.

Is this weird that I have loved on the large belcher that there isn’t a clasp at the back of the necklace?

Thank you for showing us your exciting project! I now have another “wish” on my jewelry list.

I love how we are all able to help one another find new wishes! :)

Here is the necklace I wear everyday and a picture with that necklace and a bad chain with the diamond in the colett setting.

This is my daughter modeling! IMG_3460.jpeg

Honestly, I think I'd go to a brick and mortar jeweler and try the pendant on some different chains and see how it looks with your existing set. You are potentially spending a fair amount on this new chain. Maybe you will see something that really works for you. Not saying you have to buy it there but I think being able to see the entire "look" would be very helpful in picking out the style of chain that works for you.

HI:

Well, you could purchase them all, then return the ones that aren't suitable. And make sure you have some Pantoprazole on hand for the stomach churning that would ensue with shipping and returning. Glad to be of help! :wavey: :saint:

cheers--Sharon

That's a great idea! I doubt there will be the style I am looking for where I live, but perhaps how fine or hefty a chain is would be helpful. I won't buy anything local. That's the only thing I feel bad about, taking their time for my own selfish needs!
Thank you!

I would definitely need my Pantoprazole lol! Ashley doesn't do returns. Her chains are hand made, so no returns. So that's out, but I do like how you think!!! ;)

OKIE DOKIE.. no returns makes it difficult...you have to be sure. They're all lovely.

Well, perhaps you could start using them for simple things like watch battery replacements, simple resizing, things like that, so that you feel you are giving them something in return. Or buy a low cost item that you could give as a gift?

I know right! If I bought all of them, I wouldn't have a husband anymore!!!! I like them all too. If I didn't, this would be easy. Thanks for the suggestion, it was a good one if she did returns!

I use to buy a lot before Pricescope. So it's kind of a little awkward to go back there after all this time. Perhaps a gift... There just aren't a lot of jewelry stores where I live outside of the Mall ones. Thank you again! I'm going to think on it.

I’m drawn towards these two – one for the link in the second for the two toned. How heavy are they?

Both of these chains are approximately 12 grams each.

Photos from Ashley’s website. The versatility of the 2-tone is nice. I love how they’ve styled it in the layered photo. They are both beautiful! IMG_3465.pngIMG_3464.pngIMG_3463.png

I love the Kate ❤️

Congrats on your new collet pendant! The stone is beautiful!

I swear I would have a full beard without my electrolysis! LOVE HER!

Thank you! I do love transitionals so much! I was so excited get her.

I love the Kate too! The colett pendant is so much more delicate than the other two pendants on the large belcher.

If I am honest, I think the Kate is the best fit for my pendant. I have reservations as to how well it will hold up being worn daily with my belcher.

I am thinking it might be wise to reach out to Ashley and see what her thoughts are.

Don’t even get me started on the beard situation lol!
