I have been looking for a pair of lab grown diamonds to have them mounted into solitaire earrings. I am searching for is 3tw (so 1.5ct per diamond) color D-E, clarity VS1-VVS2. I am really looking for sparkle and shine so have been searching for Ideal/Super Ideal, EX,EX. I have been looking since October 2023 and feel like I am overwhelmed and confused. It was recommended that I look for H&A diamonds but I haven’t been able to find a pair of similar size where one doesn’t look bigger/smaller than the other. Then I was advised to look at the StoneAlgo scores for cut - some Ideal diamonds have better scores than the H&A diamonds so that’s increased my confusion. Then I was told by a jeweler that H&A is a scam. At this point I don’t know how to proceed and would love advice or recommendations from experts. I need to know whether H&A is important for earrings; if I should downgrade on color or clarity to stay between $2000-$2400.
A few weeks ago I thought I found a great pair on Loose Grown Diamonds but they ended up not having one of them available. Here are the 2 pairs I had looked at:
1. H&A: IGI certificate 603330291 and 603330735
2. Not H&A: IGI certificate 581319308 and 581319311
Please provide recommendations or advice. I tried to use the Connect with an Expert option on Pricescope but it wouldn’t let me submit the form. Please help.

For me, since earrings aren't scrutinized the way rings are, H&A is not totally necessary for earrings. IGI also doesn't provide actual H&A images, so I take their designation with a grain of salt.

I found a beautiful pair for you. Let me know when you're online and ready to put them on hold.

Hi Kim I am online now

Here you go!

Thank you Kim!!!!

We love photos!

Hi Kim, I hope you can help. LGD confirmed on Monday that they were able to secure the 2 diamonds. However, today they sent me another email to inform me that they were unable to get the LG607343681 diamond and are proposing instead this one: IGI: https://www.igi.org/verify-your-report/?r=621407791
Video: -https://view.gem360.in/gem360.html?d=0902241733-DDA-271

I am quite disappointed as I think the one I had ordered was a better match to make a pair and the cut seemed superior to the diamond they are proposing. Also I am concerned that the one they are proposing will look different in size. What do you think? Any recommendations please?

I’m so curious as to what @Kim N will say about the diamond they offered. Although the angles aren’t what we call ideal at 33.1 (vs 34-35) and 40.5 (vs 40.6-40.9), that stone seems to have no pavilion twist.

Even if she says to pass on this pick, there’s most definitely be a pair waiting for you out there!

PS is so great for learning!

I think the shallow/shallow combo will likely result in unwanted obstruction, so I would pass.

When you're online, I have two potential stones that would go well with LG615366047.

Hi Kim, I’m online now

Here they are. Either would pair well with your existing stone.

Hi Kim, will this one (https://www.loosegrowndiamond.com/inventory/?sku=613377596&skuu=613377596) look different in size to the one they have secured sku: 615366048?
I saw you recommended a 1.52 D VS1 that seems like it may be closer in size, but I’d like both diamonds for the earrings to be the same color and clarity. I don’t mind going down in color and clarity for both diamonds but I wasn’t able to find a matching pair.

Not at all. About 0.2mm difference is where the eyes begin to detect a size difference. 7.32-7.39mm will match very well with 7.34-7.36mm.
