HI All,

Just purchased this diamond (I can return it).

Round Brilliant 2.01ct
8.01 - 8.08 x 5.02mm
GIA - XXX
F, VS2
Table - 56%, Depth - 62.4%, Crown - 35deg, pavilion - 40.8deg
HCA - 1.6 - ex, ex, ex, vg

After reading these forums, I feel like this might not be a good cut stone as the diameter is small (less than 8.2mm).

Would really appreciate your opinions.

Thanks!

I like to see 8.1 at least, but honestly you probably can't see a lot of difference. I always try to stay above 62.3 in depth because the deeper the stone, the more you can maybe lose in diameter for the weight. This one is just 62.4, so I am not adamant about returning it. :appl:

It is fine.

I have no idea how the clapping smiley was posted after my comment! Sorry about that!

I would like to piggy back on this post. My stone is RB 2.22 XXX HCA 1.7 with Excellent for everything other than diameter - VG.
Measurements: 8.32*8.30*5.17
Depth: 62.2%
Table: 57.0%
Crown 35
Pavillion 40.8

I've looked at various charts and some say that 2.25 is 8.3mm and others say its 8.5mm. Not sure thought

Thanks
