Playing with pearls

I got to play with some pearls yesterday.

I have my pendant and bracelet, so am TRYING to get a matching earrings. But, I think it is a hard NO… for now. The smallest they had for studs were either 7/8mm or 8/9mm. The moment I tried them on, I knew they were big and wanted to take them off. But, I had to take a pic to “reminisce” and of course show you guys.

These were round ones. I have seen button ones in the white pearls. She found a Tahitian pair and they were markedly bigger at 11mm. They were HOOGE, I couldn’t even bring myself to take a pic of them.

Note: I have 2 piercings in each ear. I didn’t take out my second set of diamond stud earrings, incase it looks like the pearl stud looks like a diamond and pearl stud. They are separate. Angulation of the pics and all.

Then tried on a few string bracelets and matching singular bracelets- just cos I was in the store! Lololol.

Have you considered Tahitian keshi pearl studs? My husband wears one.

Funnily, I have been scouting for some fashion/ costume Tahitians of 5mm. To build up my “tolerances!!! Lolololol. I want dem earrings!! To have it as a set, of course! Lololol.

I agree, they don’t look too big at all! I think with spheres you need a bit more size to “show up”.

@yssie thanx. It was challenging for me when I put those on… all I could think was take them off!!! But I left them on for 10mins and played with other things. In the end, I was relieved to have them off.

So need more tries to see how I feel.

Wow what a fun trip to try those on. I am really into Tahitian pearls as I recently discovered them. I have a pair of earrings on the way so am curious to see how I like them. What about them did you not like - just the size or were they too heavy?

@diamondsrock. Thanx for chiming in.

It was the size of them. They felt too big- cos of their spherical nature of the pearls. The diamond studs I have- sit a lot closer to the ear. So these pearls feel like golf balls, so to speak.

But I have ordered smaller ones at 5mm to see how they work.
