Does anyone see an issue with mixing metals? The ering is a Tacori PLAT ring. It''s already been purchased. I found the matching band but the pricepoint on the WG is more in my pricerange at this point. Does anyone see an issue with having the two rings side by side on the finger??

save up and get the platinum. white gold is still gold and depending on body chemistry will turn yellowish on some folks (it yellow''s on me.) you can have it dipped but it won''t be the same "white" metal color as the plat. unless you dip both rings and I personally wouldn''t want to rhodium plate (dip) a plat. ring.

Thanks for the reply. I wasnt concerned so much with the yellowing but more concerned with PLAT and WG laying next to each other. PLAT wearing the WG out or scratching the PLAT... things like that. Just didnt know if anyone went with a platinum setting and a white gold wedding band

There can also be rubbing issues in that the platinum band will scrape away at the WG band. Best to have them match.

This question isn''t nearly as fun to answer without knowing what Tacori band you''re looking at

There will be a slight color difference between the platinum and 18k white gold and the two rings are likely to wear against each other. As an authorized Tacori dealer, I''ve found that the difference between platinum and 18k is not always that much of a spread but does vary by ring style and finger size.

Yep, a 18k w/g band did a number of things to my solitaire, it comes off w/polishing but, hate it! colorwise, I''ve been lucky.
