Hi guys,
Recently acquired a lot of rough sapphire from Kashmir. Does anyone know wat is the market value of this stuff after faceting? It has a covering of graphite and green mica which you can see in the pics below.

Look it up on Google

Sorry, but those aren't even facet grade material. Please step back, do some more research and mentor with an experienced lapidary.

I did search in google but got more confused. On Some websites a very good quality 5 carat stone costs about 2000 usd but on some it goes as high as 20000 usd  :!: :?:

Eep. I hope you didn't pay too much, that doesn't seem likely to yield any faceted stones.

Because it depends on the quality, and unfortunately, you didn't buy anything that is considered quality. I suspect that when the outer coating is removed, it is so fractured that it may not even be cabbed because I see that they are all opaque with many white veins/fracture lines. I strongly recommend that you find a mentor to tutor under before throwing away more money unnecessarily.

I'm very surprised and dismayed to see this thread after your last thread.

Perhaps you should consider other money-making opportunities?
Two things the general public should not attempt is wholesaling rough gem material and brain surgery.

... and what's with this photographing stones in water?

Like I posted in your first thread the only person who is ever going to make any money off this rough has already made it ... off of you.

I see material like this, after heavy treatment, being sold cut for around $1 to $5 per ct.
