Motownmana, thanks. I need a little more time to pull the details of this proposal together, but I appreciate the enthusiasm. I promise it will be soon!

Machick''s ring has been one of my PS all time faves, and you have done spectacularly with her ring as inspiration. I can''t wait until you propose!!!

pauly, the ring is truly beautiful. Congratulations, all of your work really paid off. I hope your soon-to-be fiance wears it in health and happiness.

Wow!!!

I don''t know where to begin. The diamond is large and lovely, and that side view, OMG! The open gallery so you can see the whole side of the stone is amazing, love the bezeled sapphires and engraving too. Your FFI is going to be blown away, both by its beauty and also by how much time and effort you put into it.

It came out gorgeous!

Hope she loves it as much as I love mine.

That ring is wondrous beautiful, many congrats!!!

MAchick, I think she will. Gotta love Greenlake!

Hey there. I''m taking the ring to be appraised and set up an insurance policy. I''ve done some research on this, but figured I would get some more feedback (that whole two heads is better than 1 bit

) Does anybody have any tips or suggestions (mistakes people have made in the past, things they wished they had done differently, ect.) Thanks!

Beautiful cushion in a beautiful setting! Congratulations!

They do such beautiful work! She will love it.

This ring is absolutely fabulous. Since I am in the hunt for a ring (not for a Valentine''s Day proposal), how long did it take for Green Lake to complete this setting after you ordered it?

Its a beautiful ring!! Well done!!

Two questions...

can you give the dimensions and specs on your cushion diamond (if you do not mind)? I like the diamond a lot (and based on some conversations, so does my better half). based on your thread, it looks like you had some difficulty finding it. anyways, any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

As for your question on finding the stone, it took me about 2 months. That''s not to say that you won''t find yours sooner, or it won''t take you longer. Modified cushions are very easy to find, 8 pavilion cushions with chunky facets are a little more difficult, especially if your spec range is very specific. My advice to you is to call Mark T. at ERD and let him work. He has seen my stone first hand and will know exactly what you''re looking for. As he will tell you, it''s all about inventory and what''s available at that time. You might get lucky, you might have to wait. As I said, it depends on how specific you want to get.

As for Greenlake, a setting usually takes 4 to 6 weeks, depending on how many changes you make along the way. I''m not sure if you''re interested in a setting similar to mine, or if you''re looking to design your own. If you are looking at something close to mine though, they can probably do it a lot quicker, being that they still have all the paperwork and design elements. You would just need to provide them with the dimensions on your stone. I would call GLJW.com and ask to speak with Melissa T. , she was my designer and I would definitely recommend her.

Good luck!

Thanks for all the compliments guys!

I''m very happy to report that as of Friday night I my fiancé and I are now engaged! She absolutely adores the ring and we couldn''t be happier.

I know you all want pictures of the hand shots, and I have a few to share. Unfortunately they got a little blurry when I shrank them down, but I will take more shortly.

Thanks to everyone for all the help along the way!

- Paul & Elyse
