I am looking to buy my finance a pear shape pendant, what are people's thoughts on the following.

(it's .6 carats, excellent cut, color F, si2)

Thanks,
Mark

Congrats on your engagement! This pear has a beautiful shape to it. Not too long, not too fat, not too skinny--just right!
The good thing about a pendant is that no one will look at it up close. Unlike an engagement ring, which is worn on the finger and can be brought up to anyone's eye, a pendant doesn't usually get close enough to the eye to be examined while viewed. If your concern with the clarity grade is purely for an investment/collector viewpoint, then you may not want an SI2. No one will pay you for the beautiful F color when you're reselling it because of the clarity. However, if your concern is that other people will be judging your woman's diamond, that's not going to happen with a pendant!
What type of setting will you be putting it in?

IMO, I think pendants can be lower in clarity than what you'd wear in a ring. VEEEEERRRRY few people are that close to someone's neck to observe the clarity so 'up close and personal'! ;))

The shape is a beautifully well balanced, organic pear /tear drop shape and the cut looks lovely. Some bow tie, but pretty hard to avoid in a pear shape.

Is it just the photo, or does it look a tad murky?? could be the pic, but just want to be sure you've seen it in person and it looks good to you.
