Hi Everyone,

This is my first time posting and hoping to get some help from all of you wonderful people! I am trying to find an engagement ring that has a THIN row of pave diamonds on the band and just the center stone. I don''t like pave diamonds surrounding the center stone. I attached a pic of what I want. However, I''m still not satisfied. In the second pic (my latest post) I like the band on the bottom. Is there a setting that has that type of band and has a single center stone? I have tried so hard to find it on the internet, but maybe have not looked hard enough. Please help! Also, why are they always in platinum? I just want it in white gold so it is cheaper. Also, if I''m not able to find my ideal setting, can I get it custom made by a jeweler? Will it be expensive? THANKS in advance for everone''s input. I appreciate you time!

~~Maybe it would be easier for me to post your other pic here...I really like the first pic you posted. The only thing I would be aware of is that when you get a pave'' setting, you want to make sure that the craftsmanship is really good. This way you won''t have to worry about stones repeatedly falling out. I would suggest that you may want to go custom, and I think that as far as pave'' goes, there are plenty of vendors who would be more than able to create a beautiful ring to your specifications. I would reccommend Leon Mege...Here''s a link to his website...

~~Here is a Vera Wang setting that you may like as well...

~~Maybe something like this??

~~What shape center stone are you looking for?? This setting is similar to what you described...

~~The setting does not have to be in platinum, they can put it in white gold if that''s what you prefer...

What about something like this from Ritani? The quality is great, and the price is good too for a designer setting...

I have the Ritani setting that''s pictured above. I think it was around $1600 for the setting, which is very reasonable for a platinum/pave/designer setting. The band is very thin (just about the thinnest I have seen) and the workmanship is flawless. I love it! It only has the diamonds on the top surface of the band (not the sides) but this was my preference as I want my wedding band to sit flush and not worry about diamonds rubbing on each other.

$1600 for the setting??? I thought I couldn''t afford the setting as I was under the impression that each piece was over $2000!! Please tell me I''m wrong!!!!

Thank you so much for all of the responses. I like all the rings that you guys sent. The vera wang and Leon rings are ABSOLUTELY gorgeous! Thank you! And the prices are reasonable! I''m so happy

~~Toothfairy, what shape center stone are you looking for??

How about this setting?

That''s the setting for my ering, and not only is it pretty, it''s a VERY nice price. It''s from Knox Jewelers. Here''s the url:

It''s 2.1 mm wide, 1.85 mm thick. The diamonds are about 3/4 eternity.

Pearlman''s lists the price of the Ritani setting as $1995 on their website, but I''m pretty sure my fiance told me he was charged $1600. We also purchased the stone from Pearlman''s so I''m not sure if that made a difference or not.

You can see more pictures of it:

Would you mind posting the URL to the set on pearlmans website? I''m having a heck of a time figuring out which one it is!

My fishtail pave rings were custom made by WF. The melee are .02 pointer ACAs and they sparkle like crazy. The rings look very Michael-B''ish... and I adore them!

Thanks so much! I''ve been so confused because they don''t show the set together. It says the ring is $1995, so I took that to mean just the ER was $1995 and the WR would be another charge. Am I wrong??

Also, have you seen the set in person? Is it sparkly? I''d like a little added bling.

Thanks,
jayrenay

I''m not engaged yet, so no ring finger shots, but I did manage to sneak in some pinkie/thumb shots when it first arrived.

Thanks so much for the pictures!! It''s so pretty! Did you get the wedding band to go with it? And more importantly, when do you get to wear it??

I think your rings might be one of my favorite settings that I''ve seen here!!! I don''t mean to pry, but were they expensive? I''m not asking how much, just wondering if they''re way out of my price range. Does WF do custom work with diamonds supplied by the customer?
