I am working with a local jeweler where my ring was purchased from because of their upgrade policy. This was not my original plan but if I can save $$$ then why not? Is this a good choice? It's an SI2 and it makes me a little nervous.

You will need an actual pic or video of the diamond. No way to tell from this especially SI2

Yes, you shouldn't choose any diamond without a photo or video, but never in SI or lower. Ask for a magnified photo or video.

What is the jeweler's price on this stone?

I’m waiting for video and photo. She sent a video with it on but that was if. Thank you.

$5500. It sounds like a lot, doesn’t it? This stone was listed on JA for around $6K. I’m going to see other stones at the store at some point. I was just messaging with her today.

Yes, the price is too high. I did a search on the pricescope diamond search and the prices of a GIA Ex cut I SI2 1.07 cts ranged from $3200-$4800, and I'd say the median price would be around $4200-4300.

Are you saying this exact stone is on JA at $6k? There were none in the search nearly that high.

When I ran it through to get the HCA it pulled up but it’s gone now.
