Good morning all! Decided to start a new thread because I thought my old one might get lost. I have the stone on hold, I have the 360 video to show you, and the ASET. What do you all think? The vendor does say the stone face is up like and I or H... not surprised as they probably all make that claim, and the stone is eye clean. 30 day return policy so I can return. Like I said previously, I was really hoping for an “I” color but don’t want to pass this up. Unfortunately, this vendor is located in California, where I am, so I would have to pay pay sales tax:( thanks in advance!

Hey, I haven't seen your previous threads, but my immediate thought looking at that is that those inclusions are going to be eye-visible; I personally would find that ruins the stone, and I know that inclusions are much easier to see in ECs... especially the one smack bang in the middle of the table. What clarity is it? I know that California is immense, but any chance you can go see it? Sorry if this has all been addressed in other threads. :)

@Lykame... thanks so much. It is an SI1. I am definitely not a clarity freak, I would rather have a white stone than a completely eye clean stone. And I want a large stone and stay in budget so I have to give a little! I have seen 2 other ECs, SI 1 stones in person and neither one of them bothered me, as I had to search for the inclusion. Like I said, the color bothers me more. This company is located quite a bit a ways away from me so it would be a complete treck to go see it in person, that’s why want to weed it out first. Thanks!

I’m not really a fan of the cut despite possible good light return. That is very flat on top and table also looks large. You can have it sent to a fedex in Nevada for pickup btw.

@scarsmum thank you for chiming in! I’m not so much concerned with the large table as I had a 70% table previously in an EC and it didn’t bother me. I guess I don’t have the most well trained eye:) the color is my hang up. I need be absolutely sure of it to spend this kind of money. And the vendor who has the stone charges a 3% fee for returned stones when using a credit card so it can’t just be a “order and see if it bugs me”. Lots to ponder!

And great point about fedex pickup! That would save 4K!!

I can't get the video to work on this computer but those blue bands of obstruction on the ASET may look very dark and/or dominate the look of the stone face-on.

For the money you're spending, you shouldn't have to settle. For me, this would be a 'thank you for you efforts but it doesn't sing to me'.

There’s no way you can assess the color without walking around with it. My diamond is also I and thoroughly white but I would also want to spend time with a J before committing.

Yes I too have a Nevada diamond and saved 4K....and got a trip to Tahoe!

Oh is there another option to view the diamond at the vendor?

Crown is wayyyy too flat. This is why the video is essential. A smaller table allows you to see more of the crown. So I'd rule this one out completely.

IMHO, too flat on top and based on the ASET and the video, the steps aren't even. I like even steps. I also see a lot of body color - more than my K.

Contact the people at IDJ tell them you were sent from Pricescopers and give them your budget, what you want colour and clarity and size wise - they have found some wonderful Emeralds for people;

Hi, @Emeraldsaremyfavorite! I'm just wondering how you're doing in your search! :)
Hi! Thanks for checking in. I’m not getting anywhere so far! Working with Shulamit and Brian Gavin on a possible custom cut.... those are my two options right now. But it is taking forever to find the right one! If I had an unlimited budget, would be a different story. How is your ring coming? When is it suppose to be done? Can’t wait!

I'm still in the process! Hopefully, it will be ready in a few weeks!
I've been watching for your progress. I was hoping you were getting closer to finding or cutting something wonderful!
Hope all is well! I will keep looking out for you! :)

I'll throw another person to contact into the mix - contact Grace from Jewels by Grace and ask her what she bought back for Vegas and or what she might be able to find for you.

Hmmmm.
I don’t think it is very white, I can definitely see the yellow tint. With EC lower colour can be very noticable. And that spot in the middle Is very distracting. Mine is SI clarity, but mine are at the edges and sort of disappear into the facetting. Unless it represents a fabulous buy that is too hard to pass up, I would keep looking. The last thing you want is to not really love it and then start to really not love it. That could be expensive.

Did you see my latest post? It’s a new diamond- let me know your thoughts? Thank you!!

Hello Emeraldsaremyfavorite,

I was present when this stone has been scanned in our booth during JCK 2018. Though, it isn't cleaned and scanned properly but what you are seeing in 360° view is exactly similar (Inclusion & color tint).

Hi there... In the video it looked too tinted for my liking. I didn’t mind the inclusion though!

Thanks for the suggestion. Kindly consider my post is an individual statement and it has nothing to do with the company with I work.
