Over 4 ct triple EX for a whooping $$??

You need to call them and ask if its eye-clean (or eye-clean enough). It's not an H&A by most standards but you dont have
to have H&A for a nice stone. Does look like it has some leakage under the table but I would call and ask if they can send
additional pictures. The price seems way to good. I'm afraid that overall it might not be a nice stone for some reason (clarity)?

Call and put it on hold if you are interested.

So their feedback is there's "some milkiness", and they just left it as that. So, i think that's why the stone is so cheap.

So question is: is "some milkiness" very bad? From the picture, can you tell how bad the milkiness show? I am so tempted to pull the trigger, the price too good. The only thing is it's "Final Sale"....

Or should i just not think about it?

If it's "final sale" I would say don't buy it. That's A LOT of money to spend on something you're not sure you'll like!!! What happens if you get the stone and it's dull and lifeless due to the milkiness?? I wouldn't spend that kind of money on any stone that didn't have an inspection period or solid return policy.

"some milkiness" is not good. It will likely not sparkle the way you want it to due to the milkiness.

Way too many inclusions around the table going down through the crown, 4ct not worth the off-yellow colour, for the money you can do a 'whopping' great deal more. This clarity will definitely dull the stone down compared to the VS / excellent polish stones and up.

How can this stone be said to have an eye-clean clarity? Even if you can't see the inclusions they will add a collective 'haze' or 'milkiness' at eye distance compared to a higher clarity diamond, which'll just look clearer.

I would never buy without a return policy.

Enchanted diamonds says
"Enchanted Diamonds offers the highest level of personal service. Our diamond and jewelry experts go the extra mile to ensure your happiness and peace of mind. We won’t let you mess this up. EVER. "

So ask them for extra pictures. Since they go the extra mile I'm sure they'll be glad to get them for you. :rodent: Let us know
what they say.

Thanks for all the great feedback!

@ kemurphy: you are right! Thanks for looking in this, they have a 30 day return policy and even cheaper price. I will reach out to them.

@ tyty3333 & JDDN: I agree, I am hesitating to make such a big purchase w/o a solid return policy.

At the end of the day though, if this is not a good stone, I don't know if I want to go thru the trouble to buy and return it.

Ask them how bad the milkiness is. I have seen a stone with it and it looked like it was straining to sparkle if that makes sense. I am not sure you want to outlay a lot of money for something that is meahhhhh, going down in size slightly but getting a top cut fireball with edge to edge brightness and no milkiness at all will probably be a better option. Stones that have edge to edge brightness that are well cut btw face up bigger on the hand than poorly cut stones or ones that have issues.

Alternatively go with a vendor that has a full return policy, get the stone observe it in as many different lighting situations as you can and work out if you like it and can live with it or if it is going to bother you.

For sure, there's a trade off for a bigger stone and would just have to come down on the color and clarity. I am sure a lot of PS-ers went thru similar considerations. Very likely, there could be something wrong with the stone and the milkiness could be worse then they described, who knows. What you pay is what you get....It is always a challenge for buying online especially these retailers don't really own the stone. The stone is probably out of country and they are relying on someone out there to give them second or even third hand info.

Hopefully i will be able to get more info soon. Nevertheless, I am glad I asked you guys before making a reckless decision.

That stone scored a 1.5 on the HCA tool

EX Light return
EX Fire
EX Scintillation
VG spread

definitely worth looking at this stone as long as they have a generous return policy
Hope it's the one.

Might be worth taking a look at the ASET

L color comparison on pg 10...interesting what an excellent cut does for diamond color face up:

inyminy- It shows tint from the side, but not nearly as much as I would expect from an L. You can see in the ebay listing pics that it really doesn't have all that much tint from the side. I used to be a D-H color girl only, and I still own several in the colorless range, but I just don't care about the tint from the side in this diamond. Face up, it's WHITE. It faces up whiter than my GIA H 1.15ct oval. It appears a little warmer than my GIA G 0.76ct MRB face up, but not yellow... just warmer. Under work lighting and my brown work walls, it does appear more tinted than the pics, but my H oval appears much, much more tinted in that environment. I can't explain why it looks so white. When it's outside, it lights up!!

Hi all,

Just want to give you an update: I heard back from both Enchanted and B2C, the stone is no go, back on the hunt, which I am okay. However i did learn a lot throughout the whole process:

- Not making a decision is always better than making a bad decision
- It's okay to ask. There is no small purchase.
- You guys are awesome! Thanks for all your input.
- Last but not least, I have nothing but good things to say about Enchanted and B2C. They are very professional and was able to get back to me as quickly as possible. I am sure they would like to make a sale, but they care about whether it is a good sale and that the customer is happy about the purchase. Now I understand a bit more, online retailer is indeed a very competitive business, what differentiate each other is the top-notched customer care they provide.

Thanks all.
