Other than your electronic devices, what are five *things* you cannot live without?

The kid eats one cucumber a day, every day of the year, even when they are $10 a kilo!!!!!!
:-o:-o:-o

i havn't eaten even one in my whole life :lol-2:

but sometimes if im out and a couple of slices ends up on my plate i take it home to put on my eyes because it feels nice

1. My wristwatch
2. Haflinger slippers (gotta love arch support)
3. Chapstick
4. Nice pens (currently loving the gel pens from Muji though Sarasa is my next fave)
5. Aquis microfiber hair towel

1) Hot showers
2) Comfy indoor slippers and outdoor shoes
3) Thick comforter
4) toiletries: floss, shampoo/conditioner, chapstick
5) private bathroom

I’m a creature of comfort, I would never live off the grid or “rough it” in the wilderness. I’d pretty much put up with anything instead of going homeless.

Reader glasses!
The lenses in my eyes must be petrified, because I have multiple pairs of varying strengths in every room, and also the car.
I can't see diddly squat without them. So sad.

Me too! Readers and coffee. I need readers especially at work BC I put IVs in for a living and coffee to keep me awake.
Everything else I can deal without.

My DH added a Brooks Brothers white oxford shirt to his list.

@jaysonsmom oh yes to hot showers. I cannot live (nor do I want to live) without those! I had a thick comforter on my original list before I edited. Definitely need that. We need way more than 5 things lol to make life worthwhile. :)

You're a stronger woman than I.
I need a few more things but yes to coffee and readers!

Ooh off to google Haflinger slippers :)

ETA: Just asked Greg and he said he bought those for me years ago in the 90s/2000s and I had a pair. LOL and Oy to the vey! Still off to google these and get a pair again I think.

1. Oven
2. Beater
3. Airfryer
4. Propalin for my dog - early on in the pandemic I had four bottles of this stuff hoarded because I did not want her to go without
5. Cucumbers

Girl, I like cucumbers too. And I like to eat so yes to the oven please. Airfryer intrigues me. Let's combine our list and survive together haha.

Air, water, food, and warmth.

I can't think of a fifth.

BTW, to me all electronic devices are ultra low priority.

How about AC in the hot summer? We are experiencing global warming after all...

1. Gaggia superautomatic espresso machine
2. Citizens of Humanity racer jeans
3. A 16 year old pair of Sketcher athletic sandals (embarrassed to admit that lol)
4. The North Face fleece jacket
5. A nice leather jeans belt (currently using a Gucci one). I wear a belt with jeans always.

I would also probably add cowboy boots to my list but I wouldn't trade any of it for my coffee maker!

I like your list Gussie. Especially the Cowboy boots. Yeehaw.

How about with some bling?

You don't care for the taste?

My kid eats them the way people need to drink water everyday. Carrots too but not as bad. I rarely bought carrots until I had him. Then it was like a pack a week which felt really odd at first!

HI:

Oh my bike and good quality hair care products.

cheers--Sharon

My Hoka One One Bondi gym shoes/sneakers
My Dr. Scholl’s Heal Pain inserts
My Thorlo tennis socks
My ’LectroFan white noise machine
My MZOO sleep eye mask

Not to get too specific.

We've never had AC in our house, or a dishwasher, or many things that nearly everyone has when they can afford them.
In summer we sleep with some windows open.
We close em when temp inside and outside match, usually around 10 AM.
They get reopened in the evening when temp inside and outside match again.
Works great.

Zero energy cost.
Better for the planet too.

I admit there are 10 to 20 days a year I wish we had an AC unit.
But I know if we did I'd indulge all the time for 3 or 4 months.
For the same reason there is never ice cream in this house - except when I make it from scratch, which lately is maybe once every other year.

Some nights we do use a portable electric heater in the bedroom ... for warmth Bibi sleeps there too.

Opposite window schedule in the Winter.

This works along the So. California coast ... lucky us.
That said, nearly all our neighbors have AC, and I suspect 100% use dishwashers.

Hmm, I forgot about lip balm and hand lotion. I would give up the steam toaster oven for Fresh lip moisturizer.
