Opinions on this Emerald Cut...

I don''t have all of the specs in front of me, but I have attached a photo and an IdealScope image. I would appreciate some input on this diamond, based on the photos.

The bright white bar center in the reg picture is going to show up dark.
The backlight is shining thru it lighting it up.
personaly I dont care for dark centered EC but that one is pretty good all around it.
How big is it?

It is 1.51 carats. I will post the other specs when I get them.

What does your vendor say about it?

It has been called in and they like it. They said it had nice flashes of light. They are just waiting on my decison. I am going to have them do the usual reports. If everything looks good, it is The One.

I don't know if it makes a big difference, but it has Excellent Symmetry and Polish (GIA). I don't know much about diamonds, but I like the lines on this one.

by the looks of the IS the reg picture may be making it look worse than it is, cant call this one from pictures.
Whats the return policy if you don''t like in person?

Storm is right - it is a tricky one, but on balance it looks very bright. I doubt the dark bottom will be a problem - it is probably going to be bright to one eye and leaking to the other - overall good.

I agree, that the real photo may not be the best.

I will have them take some more photos and hopefully the reports will reveal more.

I really do appreciate your input.

Do not bother them.

Pull the trigger, or have them send it to an appraiser
