Opinions on asscher cuts & setting

Am new to Pricescope and I need your opinions badly.

I really like the asscher cut because of its classic look. Am also thinking of having Simon G as a setting, particularly their square shank design (http://www.simongjewelry.com/catalog/) - Page 7, LP1556.

Now my question, what is the lowest size you can go for asscher cuts? I noticed they look smaller than other cuts. Also, are square shanks comfortable to wear? What are your thoughts on Simon G?

5.5mm x 5.5mm is about as small as you want to go.....

Am actually eyeing a 1.5 carat asscher cut and my size is 3.5. I wonder how that would look...

Also, do you think it would look great on the square shank Simon G setting?
