Ignoring the size difference for a minute, which is the better stone (if there is one)? No ASET or ideal scope up yet on the 2nd one (they just posted it) but the light performance map looks really nice to my untrained eye, if that even matters. But the HCA tool actually shows the smaller one as not as good, in fact it shows it out of the range of AGS 0, even though it obviously is within. Not sure how that works.

Opinions appreciated

Both ideal O sooooooo for me Size matters

You do not use the HCA on AGS Ideal cut stones. The I color stone is 6.5mm and the G is 6.3, and I would go for the larger one.

However, I think there is a better choice for that amount of money, a 1.15 I VS2 Blue at 6.7mm. Fluorescence is a postive thing in I color stones.

or you could go to H color at 6.6mm:

or spend less and get this 1.07 I VS2 at almost 6.6mm:

I had actually been seriously considering that H color BG blue but I've never seen a stone with fluorescence, especially not a "very strong" one, in person so I got nervous and took it off the list.

Is there any noticeable difference in any condition besides a UV light between a medium blue, strong blue and very strong blue?

Is there any concern with getting an H color with v. strong fluorescence? I'm assuming not as otherwise Brian wouldn't have cut it.

I think the absence of UV light, a medium blue, strong blue, and very strong blue fluorescence diamond would appear the same color wise.

There should be no detrimental effects from fluoro in a Brian Gavin Blue stone.
