opinion on this diamond's color, Violet?

Sometimes hunting down gems is more like following a paper trail! Thanks for letting me know, @msop04!

@Niel? Care to chime in?

I bought it from prima gems. 2 ct I think she was 7*7.5? I looove the way she set it
That was probably a year or two ago.

I love how PS members like to "keep 'em in the family." LOL ;)

Yes, it was 7.5 x 7.0. :)

Thanks ladies! Off to look at Prima Gems....

thank you for all of the advice! I will not be purchasing this stone.

A fully natural 1 ct Violet diamond will be in the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars.
How could you think you'd get one for under $1k?

Why waste your time thinking there's any chance you'll find a diamond worth a zillion times its asking price?

A violet diamond will have a grading report from GIA saying it's Violet, and be price accordingly.
If the report is from a lesser lab I'd question the hue and not risk my money on it.

Don't waste your time thinking you're going to get lucky and find a diamond worth a zillion times its price.

The other clue it it does not have a grading report from GIA saying it's Violet.
I must agree. The chances of finding a 1ct+ diamond, not graded, with exceptional color (also not of I3 clarity)at a bargain price, are very low. I have a natural 1 ct fancy light Brown Pink Pear that I suspect has I3 clarity and it is in the GIA lab right now. Looking forward to seeing how the grading goes.
