Hello! I'd appreciate the opinions on this stone. I don't know exactly what it is, but it seems some little thing is off. I just can't put my finger on it.
This is the stone:

I'd love to hear what you think!

The JA video seems a bit wonky compared to the video in the Diamond Detail link. Experts will need to weigh on on the possible reasons.

Exactly my thoughts. Could it be the 45% stars, which you don't see often?

I'm thinking it has less to do with the diamond and more to do with how the JA video was taken (lighting, angle, etc.) or something along those lines, but I am no expert. Hopefully those with more knowledge will chime in.

I really dislike the video of this stone. On paper it's good, but the video throws me off a lot. @flyingpig can you explain this? Is the video just a bad one, or am I missing something?

Hi Jimmy12345,

I was pointed to this thread and wanted to add some clarity to the conversation. The 1.20ct G-VVS2 that you linked to at JamesAllen.com is NOT the same diamond from the wholesale supplier website. I'm not sure how you came to conflate the two stones, but both the videos and GIA reports are different.

Best wishes in your search,

That makes sense. The videos looked like two different diamonds to me. The wholesale supplier linked diamond looks more promising than the JA linked diamond, IMO.

aha, this makes so much more sense. I would persue the wholesale diamond if you can.

Thanks for the reply. This had me dumbfounded as well. Apparently the 2 stones got conflated because the specs and even the L/W are the same. My apologies for the confusion.

What do you think about the wholesale stone?

The Ankit Gems stone looks like a winner!
