This ring is prettier in person and is a great price for genuine opal and diamonds. It’s also my size and will be in its final round of discounts for consignment (Canadian pricing). Can anyone comment on this particular style and what era it may be from? It’s not your typical halo style and I’m a bit worried it looks more strange rather than ‘from an earlier era’. Has anyone seen this style before? The closest thing I can find on the internet is an Art Deco style.

Is it the angle or does the diamond stick out on top? Otherwise, I think it’s a pretty vintage ring and good price. Unless you can identify the hallmarks, probably there is no way to tell the age.

I should have taken a photo of it on my finger - it's a really pretty ring. No the diamonds don't stick out, they kind of cluster around the centre opal in a starburst type of halo. Really interesting ring and fits perfectly.

Not sure on the era but it seems like a good price and it is unusual. If you love it....I say go for it! ;))

I'd post over on the Colored Stone forum to input on the Opal. Did you get any photos from the underside?

No but I can and will thanks!!
