Onstar....feedback

I'm curious to know how much it is a year for Onstar? Also have you found it useful? I have a vehicle that comes with it for 6 months I believe and debating whether or not to keep it. I can't seem to find out how much a year it is so I thought I'd ask.

I'm guessing if you call and say you don't want to sign up after your free subscription is up they will cut you a deal.

I don't remember how much it costs for a year but when you get close to the end of the 6 month trial period, you are sent a "package" deal offer for one, two, or three years at a substantial discount off the monthly rate. My husband bought the 2 year subscription I think. I like having it for peace of mind and I use it pretty often for navigation since we are paying for it.
