OMG, My BF just ordered my Dream Ring!! Verragio 3064P

Hello Everyone!
I have been reading and watching this forum for a LONG time and finally have something to post about! My Boyfriend surprised me and ordered my Dream ring this week! I''m sooo happy and now get to play the waiting game for it to be made and the center stone to get set (We are sending it to Verragio to assure the lifetime warranty in intact for all of the side diamonds) and for him to decide when to give it to me... I''m sure I will have to wait a little while to finally get it on my finger, but atleast I know it will be the right size the first time. (Verragio uses special ring sizers for the paradiso collection because of the scrolling and I am SOOO glad he didnt guess based on my normal ring size, to not wreck the surprise, becuase the ring would have been WAY to big!)

Does anyone else have this ring and how do you like it?

That setting is just beautiful! I usually dont like princess cuts but in this setting, it is to die for!!! What size is your center stone?

Yes, definately going crazy, it is supposed to take 3-4 weeks to get made so that is probably the quick part... Who knows when he will finally surprise me with it. We actually just found the center stone because Verragio said it was pretty important for their "Lumino" setting to have a perfectly square measured center stone or it would look really rectangular and also the cut to be near perfect to "shine like it''s plugged into the wall" Sooo... since I wanted it to be perfect and all that Jazz we searched for a while and found a 1.1 ct. colorless ideal cut perfectly square.
I''m sure you will be relieved of your waiting much before I am as I know he wants to surprise me when I''m not expecting it. (I may want to calm my excitement to him on the outside a bit so he thinks I forgot or am not thinking about it every second of every day... waiting... haha)

The scrolling on the inside of the band is so neat. Can''t wait to see hand shots when you actually get it.

My husband doesnt know but I have had dreams about my ring. He already has to put up with me talking about it 24/7 but I dont think he needs to suffer through my dreams either! haha I think the dreams are telling me to calm down because obviously I am thinking about it too much! But it''s just so exciting isnt it?

My ring is this one here. The specs are wrong tho... there was a mixup with my band and the actual carat total is .68 not the .18 that is listed.

So what made you wanna go with verragio? Is this setting one you have loved since forever?

Beautiful ring you are waiting for, very detailed and ornate!

I could type a entire paragraph about why I decided to go with Verragio, but long story short here it is. (as short as I can make it)

I loved the ring I picked because of the scrolling and lumino setting but it wasnt the one that I had pictured in my head for forever, I wanted to kite set all of the princess diamonds and leave everything else pretty much the same. We worked with Verragio for a month and got a rendering done and took it to Barry for approval and he would not give it the go ahead for production. He felt is was not a structure safe setting with the odd location of the prongs for kite setting and all of the paved side diamonds cut into alot of the metal that could have been there and didnt want to put the Verragio name on something he was not Completely comfortable with. Soooo, at this point I didnt want to sacrafice any of the side diamonds and had soooo much respect for them being willing to turn down a "custom sale" (we all know what "custom" means) to not put their great reputation and for what they stand for in jeapordy to make a sale. Even without all of the customizing I still love this setting more than every other one that I have seen so I''m not disappointed a bit. (even with the picture of kite set diamonds etched into my brain) I absolutely LOVE IT

This waiting game is really sucky... I know that the ring should be done in about 3 weeks but I don''t think Im gonna be so lucky as to see it before he proposes. I''m going crazy!!!! HELP ME.. I know its crazy! But just think, they are probably in the process of making it right now. That''s what gets me thru... That its actually happening and that they are making MY ring. And why don''t u ask ur bf around the time the ring should be done,if it looks good. Not if u can see it or when he will propose. Just if everything turned out ok. And I''m sure ur bf will make sure the ring turned out perfect. He wants u to be happy!!! AND SAY YES!!! Hahaha just keep posting here on PS. It will help u! U can live vicariously thru all the other great PS rings!

So this is pretty funny! This was a wonderful idea Yay Tacori... until I left the laptop on last night with the forum open and this thread OPEN when my BF was still awake! HAHA Needless to say I think this "plan" isn''t going to work in my favor. This morning he actually said "Nice plan ya got from your support sister, like you can act like your not completely excited and totally impatient" When my mouth dropped open

and I smiled

he joked and said "I think you can wait an extra month now!"

awww man.... when i first signed up...i was looking at a post that this guy did to show his ering that he got for his gf.... it was a kit setting for a princess and i thought it was the best looking one...i cant find it!!! cuz he didnt say it was a kite setting. He just described it as a princess cut that he asked his jeweler to customize... this sucks!

They are really hard to find with center stones set - I''ve seen several three stones with the sides kite set, but probably only 2 center stones.

I can''t believe you found it!!! Thats A+ forum hunting ability.. haha My original custom design had all three of the stones in the setting that I picked out kite set - it just wasn''t structure safe....

I mean yea, common sense that a 1.5 mm band cant hold a 50 carat diamond with 4 tiny tiny claw prongs... or maybe it can... haha dunno... do you have a pic of it? was it made and it wasnt structure safe or was it something u designed and they said no way we are not making that? haha

Verragio was working on the beginning stages of a rendering and I wasn''t willing to sacrafice any side profile diamonds so Barry saw the beginning rendering and said no way, that little bit of platinum can''t hold the abuse that those diamonds will take in this setting...
