So, my cousin Y (formerly known as the evil cousin) and I have been getting along really well since I took the first step and congratulated her on getting engaged. Today she told me that she wants me to be a part of her wedding, but she didn''t know how, but she didn''t want me to have to spend a lot on a dress (not sure if she really means that or if she just doesn''t want me to be a BM).

She just called me and asked me to be her flower girl. Not kidding.

It was so hard to not laugh when she asked me. She actually called on the phone though so I had to contain it. I''m not entirely sure if she''s doing it to include me or to kind of take a jab at me. Whatever. Either way I get to be a flower girl. And drink champagne. How many people can say they drank champagne as a flower girl? Lol. FI will not be the ring bearer. Her FI has nephews, though I forget how old they are. The funny thing is that we definitely have younger cousins she could''ve asked...She keeps saying she doesn''t want me to have to spend money on the dress with my wedding coming up and all. Not sure if that''s the real reason, but it doesn''t really matter.

P.S.-Neither wants to take the other''s last name, so they''ve decided on a new one. Skywalker. No, I''m not kidding.

Aw, 8/4 is our date too! You're taking this very well Robbie...I haven't heard you complain at all about the fact that her wedding is before yours (only 4 weeks) even though she got engaged nearly 4 months after you. Props to you for being so calm about it all!

ETA: Aw how cute about the dropping the petals as I'm walking down the isle. I've actually had like 2 of our distant friends ask to be flowergirls over facebook. I can't tell if they're joking or not so I just don't respond.

I''d be upset if she were having the wedding closer to mine. I actually asked her to please not have it less than a month before mine since we have some relatives who will be traveling. A month is still fairly close, but my save the dates are going out tomorrow
