Just sharing for fun. I inherited a ladies dinner watch several years ago that I discovered had a first generation 17 Jewel Movement from Omega, from the very first year they made this movement.
The yoke had worn out and after two years of trying to find a replacement movement I had it converted to a modern quartz movement so I can wear it again.

Sharing pictures of the watch and the amazing intricacy of the original movement. Hard to believe something this fine was made more than 100 years ago likely under gaslight and by hand.
