OMC Diamond light brown inside and bright yellow outside - fluorescence??

My intense yellow EC goes green like that. On your list if you ever sell. SO cool!

LOL! The growing list!

Well, I hate to disappoint some of you, but I sent it to DK to evaluate. @jaqjaqjaq thank you for what you said, I DO love it 'as is' but I want to enhance its beauty! I believe this will be a "forever" keeper piece for me which i only have 3 other of those, lol. It's just way too cool/unique to give up, I feel like I'll never be able to buy anything else like it.

So, DK actually called me. I have done, i dont know, 30 projects with him and i never once spoke to him, he has an accent! Who knew! :lol-2:

I told him to send to GIA for me. He said there's a natural rough that wasnt polished so he could polish it and it would absolutely increase the clarity from GIA but because it would affect light return and performance he thought it best not to touch it because it could affect how my eye saw the color.

So, we're not touching it. Just sending to GIA.

Smart decision about the polish!

Please try to keep the setting intact! Maybe someone else will buy it or use it in the future. I know DK can remove the stone safely.

Curious if the experts can share with me how the polish would impact the color seen! I feel like this diamond is a learning opportunity in general because it’s just so neat :kiss2:

I just bought an uncertified ring from a local store's estate section. Inside its a pretty champagne color and outside its very yellow, is this due to florescence?? I am going to send it to GIA but I am curious. I can return it but I kind of think it's cool.

Sold as 2.53 carat but I havent measured it yet

Here are some inside and outside pics... The outside pics look true color to me, the inside pics i am not sure if it's capturing the color correctly, because it really looks without any yellow very champagne inside.

Also, as far as "value" would this behavior make it more or less 'valuable', I want to make sure I didnt overpay too much (probably doesnt matter as I think i love it already! That said if you 'know' me i tend to keep things a few months and then sell it because i have jewelry impulse control issues... hahaha)

Inside (i swear its more champagne than yellow inside)

the back is completely open so i think the pics with the white background show the true color better

So, this is fluorescence right??

OMG, I am in love. It's a very unique look, beautiful ring. Love the green fluorescence. I would not touch a thing. It is a chef's kiss.

I had it GIA certified and it actually came back medium blue fluorescence !

2.72 ct, fancy brown yellow, medium blue

Ahh, the brown and blue (Yellow and blue = green). They say when mixing colors in painting, to use yellows and blues for dynamic greens. I think maybe your diamond follow suit.
