Old Promise Ring needs an update

I just saw another thread about an old promise ring, which got me thinking.
Five years ago, after six months of dating my (now) fiance and I picked out a tiny little 3 stone promise ring. We were poor college students, and we bought it from a mall chain (ehh..) and didnt pay much attention to the specs. (I know, I know... I was bad)

Anyway, the little ring turned out to be a winner and carries an awful lot of sparkle for such a tiny thing. And to this day, I love it. It's tucked away safely right now, and I miss it. You can see by my avatar that my ER is basically a huge Tacori version of my promise ring.

So now. What to do with the promise ring? I dont want to wear it on my right hand because A) my hands will look lopsided from a tiny 3-stone and big 3-stone P and B) Ive been drooling over the Cartier Trinity ring and may have convinced my future hubby to get me one for Christmas. Im thinking I can.. reset my baby 3-stone? Any ideas out there? (My current obsession- ROSE GOLD) A RHR isnt out of the question, just not in its current style.

(oh and it's only 1/4 tcw. Wait no, maybe 1/2. I cant remember now)

I was also thinking a necklace or pendant would be a great idea. you could set it in either white or rose gold. either would be beautiful.

How about turning it into a scattered diamond rose gold band, and wear it when you need to wear something that doesn't stick up as much, or even sized for middle finger of right hand, next to your rolling ring?
