hi everyone, I was wondering, if through the horrible bathroom light, anyone would be able to tell me what cut this is. It was my great grandmothers engagement ring (which was made into a pendant for me). Estimate would be early 1900s.

Thanks in advance

Full disclosure, I am no expert, but - looks like an old European cut to me? Will wait on the pros to weigh in :shifty:

Thank you so much. Hope you’re right :appl:

That is what it looks like to me as well, is there any what you can get a better pic?

It certainly does appear to be an OEC.

No worries, I hope so too haha :) do you have any photos where the faceting is any clearer?

That is also what it looks like to me, but without a better picture, impossible to say with certainty.

Thanks everyone. I will attempt a better photo later. We’re planning on setting it and using for my engagement ring.

Well it looks like it will be very lovely no matter what the cut is, it’s so nice to reuse family stones

One of my favorite things is when people come in with family treasures that have been handed down. It is hard to replace the sentiment of such treasures.

Looks like an OEC from the top.

Yes, OEC. I hope you do a lovely antique style mounting, rather than a modern one, to complement the cut.

Looks OEC to me
What's the dimensions?
