The wedding planning is going well, our tasting is next week which is exciting! Only downside is it''s on a Wednesday night, so that means we have to drive there and back and get back late at night but it''ll be fun nonetheless. What about you, how are things going with the planning? Oh man I am hearing you about school. I had a crying break-down on Sunday over school, lol. Granted I was PMSy (TMI sorry), but as to where I''ve been...I forced myself to revamp my time-management this semester! I''ve always had a lot of reading, but this semester I am averaging 1,000 pages a week + I have to do response papers for one class (2 pgs min each which isn''t too bad - just annoying) and all these other papers due at various times and when you add that to my extra-curricular activities I felt really overwhelmed!

So oh well, just gotta do more work during the day and less at night or even the night before (definitely not an option anymore). Which I am doing better so far this week, go me! Blegh. I did not want my last semester of my senior year to be so crazy, but I really wanted to take these classes. So I''ll deal!

Lol. Wedding planning in Vegas is pretty great, if I''m totally honest. Basically I only have to pay 2 people for everything. Well the wedding planner takes care of all of the photography, florals, decor, videography, hotel rooms, etc, so all I have to worry about are my MOH, FI, my outfit, and where to have our reception (just dinner). Oh and invitations. But other than that, it''s been a cakewalk.

It sounds like you have a TON going on! I''ve been going kind of nuts because I have 4 of 5 classes on Tuesday/Thursday so I basically have class from noon until 8. Which wipes out my entire day.

I know what you mean about the last semester. For me, I still have Spring, Summer and Fall, but I''m going to try to take it as easy as possible so I don''t end up flipping my lid. Regardless, this semester will be easier than last.

Just wait until law school!!!!

I need to buck up and start going to bed earlier as well, that''s part of my problem. So does FI, he doesn''t go to bed until 12:30 or 1 every night and gets up at 7 - not enough sleep!

So if I got to bed earlier I know he will, too. And oh man I''ve convinced myself if I can survive the work load I can survive law school; however, I also know I am completely lying to myself because even though I am confident I will *survive* law school the workload still doesn''t compare at all. Law school is going to kick me in the booty starting in August..I am just trying not to fall down when it does!

Meh. I''m taking:

Survey of Math (because I can hardly add, much less do algebra)
The Blue Planet (environmental science)
Sociology of Death and Dying
Sociology of Sport
Sociology of Law

Not the greatest of ideas on that D & D, but I planned my schedule back in October. And it''s actually been kind of therapeutic on some days, because we''ve talked about the stages of grief and what''s normal depression and what''s not normal, so now I know what to watch for...

What about you? How many hours are you taking?
 
I''m only taking 12 actually..which is not bad really, it''s just that 3/4 classes are seminars ahhhh!

Which means I have to at least do enough of the reading to be able to say intelligent things about the topic, lol.

So I''m taking: Japanese politics, Japan & Intl Relations, Islam & Politics (technically a religion class), and Sep. of Powers.

Yeah I would think the death & dying would be rough sometimes..

. But it''s good I guess if you''ve gotten some positive things out of it. It is definitely helpful to know the stages of grief and be able to place yourself in them so you know where you are and if you''re doing all right or not. ((Hugs)) And oh I am NOT a math person either. Math makes me sad.

But your soc classes and envi sci class sound really interesting! You know I''m going to ask this, how''s soc of law so far? I never took that here, but I think it''s a common soc course. Anyway, I am off to go to the store (promised FI I would go) and to pick up my cap & gown (hope there isn''t a crazy line

Not all that great to be honest. It''s so hard to go through that so close to my mom''s passing. And all she cared about at the end was her dog. She knew my dad and I could take care of ourselves. I''m sure there are ways that we could have prevented it--I KNOW there are. And that hurts. He was in perfect health minus the cataracts and hard time hearing, and the benign tumor that he had had for 2 years...which is what ended up killing him.

I am so glad I was able to get to him when I did last night and take him to the vet, because I hope that by them reducing his fever it eased some of his suffering. But he did it on his own. He wasn''t put down. It was his time to go I guess.

But that doesn''t make it any easier.

Don''t beat yourself up about it..you''ve had a whole lifetime load of stuff on your plate. I can''t even imagine how you feel right now. This is going to be very hard, I''m not going to lie to you about that..and I''m not going to pretend to understand. But what I am going to tell you is even though I don''t know you personally I''ll be here if you ever need to talk to someone removed from the situation and I am sure all other PSers will be as well. You can get through this, you''ve got a beautiful wedding to look forward to. In short, breathe deep, move slow, and take it one day at a time. I''m sending hugs and prayers your way...

Here is a pic I forgot I had of the turtles from over a year ago-they have reached about full size and haven''t grown much, if at all since then. They were sunning themselves out of the water here and giving me a dirty look for disturbing the peace. My mom loves to watch them.

Oh! I forgot to mention in the last long one about Dale and I that my mom was the one who suggested he move into the condo with me so that he could pay off his medical bills faster. She''s hardcore Catholic and pretty against living together-but it was HER IDEA. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Maybe someone in your Colored Stones thread can help us identify a less expensive version and how that setting creates the choker pendant look. I puffy heart choker placement neckware with pendants. I used to love those cheap fising line things. The floating fake diamond... Ugh.
