I've just bought this on behalf of one of my besties. It's an 3.18ct E VS antique style EC, 8.21 x 7.53mm, with the most gorgeous cut corners, large culet, and kozibe!

She'd like to set it in a ring, but hasn't got further than that so far. Open to side stones, coloured stones, prefers white metal. She's tall and elegant and tends towards understated rather than flashy.

I was thinking ziggurat/stepped bezel baguettes, Art Deco all the way, but that's my bias - would love some more ideas from the hive!

Stone is from The Diamond Bucket in Surat - the most amazing antique cut stones! Just. LOOK. AT. IT. Photos don't do it justice, but I don't know how to post the videos

Kozibe!

Oh, that's a gorgeous diamond!

Some settings I've always been partial to.

How did you communicated with Diamond Bucket? Through IG?

Someone was asking for champagne diamonds a little while back, and we were a little stumped. They have an array of colors and cuts! Might be a good vendor to know.

Just a thought, in case it applies, is to also consider her hand/finger size/shape and if there's anything that would look especially flattering or not flattering on her hand.

For ex. I'd want a design that was longer N to S than it was wide. Many rings that I like on others I wouldn't like on myself because I have large hands and long fingers that are most flattered by elongated rings

Yep I think she'll try some things on first for sure - though it is v hard to find large step cut jewellery here (we're in Australia). Fortunately for her she is a cool elegant tall blonde with long fingers who will be able to pull off pretty much anything, haha.

Yes, initially through IG, now also via WhatsApp - which is great for high res videos etc. I made contact several months ago and it was some time (and many enquiries, questions, discussions) before I made a first small purchase (an antique cut marquise which I had made into a bangle - I have posted it here previously). Have now just purchased a lab antique cut pear and this EC. I think Darshit now has a good gauge of what I like and has been quick to answer questions, provide more photos and videos, etc. It's a very direct way of buying diamonds - not for everyone, but suits me well esp as I am interested primarily in fancy cuts.

Consistently lovely cuts in both natural and lab stones. Check out this marquise he just posted - how I wish I had a use for it!!!

Loving all the ones being posted here - keep them coming!

Stone is being affectionately dubbed "Baby Krupp"

@pancake Chunkalicious!

The settings you selected above are lovely. Though I’m really drawn to the ones @Kim N has posted. They soften the edges of the baby Krupp. Have your friend try on some different rings or order some cheap ones from Amazon to see what she likes. Some people draw rings on paper and tape to their fingers to see if they like shapes. Just some thoughts if she doesn’t know what she likes. Lovely stone!

Pretty sure this epic ring was made by a PSer with the help of the hive mind! There's a thread in RT. Its a natural diamond and it was huuuge.

No way! I thought it had to be lab. My god it’s epic!
