Absolutely gorgeous Alj. Thanks for sharing.

It''s very pretty! I love the pave around it and the yellow gold.

I do see what you mean about the center stone looking dark. Maybe it''s just the angle of the camera? Does it look like that to your eye when you look at it?

Fantabulous!

That''s a great pendant!

Hope mine comes out as well when I get around to doing mine!

Guess I''ll never know if it''s a New Line or a Classic ACA...

I love the pendant (and the chain)- the diamonds look like they''re on fire!

Stephan, my darling..............I'm not ignoring you.

I haven't answered because I don't know....I didn't ask. I'd guess New Line, but I'll find out when I go to Houston.

For those asking for the neck shot.......I don't have one yet. I wore this pendant for about 4 hours and then broke the chain near the jump ring (backstory: I asked them to put jump rings at 18" and 19" so it would be adjustable.)

I must have caught it just right, and pulled the chain.

I went to get it fixed locally, and the local jeweler actually put it in an ultrasonic cleaner

. One of the melee stones came out, and he can't account for it. Consequently, I just don't want anyone else touching it. Hence, I'm going to TX myself. Like I mentioned, great excuse to storm the castle and raise a little h*ll. LOL

Thank you dear!

Really, I wouldn''t exchange it.
The fire is so intense, and you always have fire at 3-4 points at the same time.
The other diamond (in your ring) looks whiter under halogene, but it''s fire looks more ''pastel''.
Sorry, I didn''t find the English word for pastel.
Did you call Whiteflash?
And if yes, what did they answer?

Beautiful pendant Al! I''d be passing by every mirror I could find to catch a glimps. (The frustration of a pendant -- can''t admire it all day long like a ring.....)

HAHAHHA - yanno, PQ said that same thing. She had a .75 ACA pendant - half bezel. She said "I never get to SEE the sparkle myself", so she traded it for a larger stone for her e-ring.

Yeah, If I hadn''t been such a Brutus and broken the chain, I''d likely be doing that - vanity, thy name is now AL.

But, until I can wear it, I can at least gaze at it.

Future warning for all New England drivers, though: When I DO get this pendant fixed, I''ll be busy staring at it in the vanity mirror on my visor, so please be kind enough to leave extra room around my vehicle!

Let me say first that I love your pendant! I really like the design and really like the chain. I have a bezel pendant with a box chain. To my eye, I like the box chain better because it looks more substantial. The bezel itself is a big piece; I''m not so sure a thinner chain would keep the balance. Just my opinion.

What do you think accounts for the darkness you see in the stone? Just that particular stone or is it the bezel setting? Maybe you would never know unless you put another stone in but I wonder if the outcome would be all that different?

So sorry about the breakage and the missing stone. Must be frustrating to have something new and beautiful and not be able to wear it. A trip to WF sounds wonderful - you must take a videocamera with you and make a movie for all of us! I just received today three prong martini earring settings from them. I am going to have my diamond earrings reset by a local jeweler but they were really great to work with. I think that would be a fascinating trip!

Alj sorry about the chain and missing stone. Have a great trip to Houston can''t wait to hear all about it.

Uh...Al....I''m in New England. Should I be worried? Okay...just how worried?

Kaleigh, thanks........yep, hope to come back with a few funny stories about tying Brian up in the vault and making off with the goods! LMAO

Seriously, I don't stand a chance now that Mara's coming!......that girl KICKBOXES, and she wants those diamonds.

Kidding aside, I'm pretty excited.

I've always been a bit envious in hearing others' stories about going and meeting them in person and seeing their place. It's a rarity to have so many well-cut diamonds all in one place to see the differences in how they look.

Can't wait to share the experiences with all of you here!

Batten down the hatches, Houston here we come.

HAHHAHAHAH - Boy, are YOU in trouble then!

You can''t really expect me to have my eyes on the road now, can you?

rfath.......that''s right! succumb to the power of the bling! We can do a bling convoy!

That''s a gorgeous pendant. And, yes, once it''s all fixed and ready for prime time, I wanna see a neck shot!

I just love that pendant Al. I''m curious to hear what WF says about the stone too. You gal''s are going to have a blast at WF. you''ll have to stop over for a bbq and swim at John Q''s

Alj,
Can you get a longer chain so you can wear it it the winter, or is it attached to the halo? I couldn't tell.

Hahhaa - I''d love to, but I have a feeling poor John is going to be in a cushioned room with no shoelaces while we''re in town.

Seriously, we''re sure looking forward to meeting all the folks there.

Alj,

BAH - that''s the thing.

I wanted this pendant to be designed from the get-go so that I could take the pendant and put it onto any chain.....that would allow me to wear it on a shorter chain in the summer with collared blouses, and longer in the winter over sweaters, etc.

After much design discussion with Brian, he felt we couldn''t do that and still get the look I wanted. The problem isn''t the chain itself; it''s the jump rings/etc. that wouldn''t fit/thread easily through the pendant. An alternative would have been a stationary chain (which I emphatically didn''t want); another would have been adding a bail, which I also didn''t really want. Last, they could have tried to add a bail on the back, but then the pendant would likely tip forward. So, the workaround solution was to sacrifice the complete versatility I was looking for and choose ONE chain to thread through, but to possibly restore some versatility by adding jump rings in the chain at 18" and 19" intervals.

Alas, in this case, the chain snapped right where the jump ring was installed. I''m sure it was my fault, so now I need to figure out what we can do to accommodate my rough handling.
3.gif

So what about a longer chain, is that possible or not????
