Watched the video, it was awesome. I really thought the K looked fantastic, and couldn't see the difference in color to the J. So my vote is for K!

Thankyou aswell for posting your opinions Smooleys, Angeline and Angel777...so thats 2 for the J and one for the K..hmmm.

Smooleys and Angel777, may I ask you guys - the J and K are pretty much identical except for that one colour grade. And thats gonna cost another $1000..would you guys put that toward the setting, save it, or definately get the J? If so, would you mind to say how come? I need to make up my mind by tuesday, so need all the help I can get!

I couldn''t get the video to load, unfortunately, and I need to go to bed so I can''t keep trying! My inclination would be to say the J color just because it is still in the near colorless range. The only way I''d choose the K is if i sent for both of them and seriously could not tell the stones apart. If you truly can''t, then great, I''d want to save the $1000. But I really wouldn''t want a stone lower than J unless maybe it was an antique stone in an antique setting.

I have never seen J compared to K in person and yes J is still in near colorless range, so its a safe bet to go with a J.
If I were to get a K, I''d go for a really big jump in carat weight like 1.5 or something close to it.
There are also different Js and different Ks.
I''d ask GOG if its a high, medium, or low J, and what kind of K that is as well. Hopefully that will help you make a decision whether $1000 is worth saving. Good luck hun!

I have a 5.25 size, and I thought I was pretty lucky, when I looked up the finger coverage chart, my 0.8ct gives the same coverage as a 1ct on the ''average'' size 6 finger, so I''m happy! The things that make us gals happy, it''s so cute!

I think if you''re mostly certain you''ll love the K, then go for it! If it''s more like half the time you''re excited and the other half of the time you''re a little worried you might not like it, then I''d say go for the J. But if you''re worried about it being a K colour not because of the colour itself but because it''s your engagement ring and people would think it''s a ''low'' colour, forget them! If you think YOU will be happy with a K colour, that''s what matters (and what your honey thinks too, of course

).

That ring is going to be KILLER! I don''t think anyone will think a gorgeous ideal-cut stone is a fake, even if it does like ginormo on your enviably tiny fingers (yeah, yeah, I know you said they''re "stubby" but I covet them all the same

Bling, haven't decided just yet - am waiting on a lil bit more info from Jon..who btw, is the funniest and sweetest person - when I said I wasn't sure he offered to ask around the shop all the ladies and get their opinion on the J and K in real life. He is the best!

I have been reading some of the threads about Leon's notorious atitude and am starting to worry about asking him that now...

From the video I don''t think face up there was much difference between the K and the J but then it really comes to personal preference, you could always bezel the ring and hide the side view where the colour is noticeable but I don''t think IRL anyone will be looking that closely at your ring to see the warmth. Face up it is really much of a muchness. They are all beautiful looking diamonds and are more likely then not to outshine what you see around IRL .
