I''m sorry about Maverick. I know what it''s like.Date: 10/8/2008 9:44:23 PM

Oh my! What a lovely topic of conversation I''ve missed out on! Maverick had a few special moments he liked to share with me, too...I''d take those days back if I could have him back for a few more days.
Myrtle was my grandma''s name...gotta love it, and Winston sounds so regal!
Just wanted to drop by and say hi, Harriet! I''ve missed you!
P.S. Congrats on learning to swim...I am going to try to find a place around here that gives lessons for adults, but I must admit I''m a big fat chicken!
The lovely Gwen is doing great compared to the lovely Harriet if the lovely Harriet still has sickly dogs puking all over the place.Date: 10/7/2008 4:57:38 PM

Oh dear, I''m sullying your grandma''s name.
Thanks for dropping by. We haven''t ''talked'' much recently, have we?
Can you swim at all?
P.S. We were having dinner when Myrtle walked up to us and let out one loud burp. She''s no lady.
Hehe! We are never far away .... usually talking about something gross... I blame Harriet of course. She isn''t as ladylike as you might thinkDate: 10/10/2008 4:15:54 PM

I have missed chatting with you...I swear I have to check yours, Linda''s and Maisie''s threads to keep track of the 3 of you!
Myrtle sounds just, well, um...lovely! I bet her and Winston are quite the entertaining duo...I can''t wait to get another kitty and/or dog (I''ve never had a dog and Maverick was my only pet ever!) I am ready for a new little love bug!
I can swim a *little* bit. I used to be a good swimmer, but long story short, I have had 3 shoulder surgeries on my right shoulder and fractured my collarbone last December, so I am a sunk duck pretty quick. To get exercise I use a kickboard in the pool...I took it to Maui with me and it was, literally, a lifesaver. Everyone but my BFF laughed at me, but she knows I can''t swim for any amount of time...she clocked me at 3 minutes trying to tread water and nearly jumped in after me before we left on the trip. She wanted to find out how long I had on my own before someone needed to come in and save me!
So...I guess it''s not that I need swim lessons, per se, but I would like to be able to save myself if the need arose. I have noticed I start to get panicky near water and that is never a good thing.
I hope you''re having a lovely day!

Snorts...like I don''t already know this! As one of Linda''s ''adopted'' daughters here on PS, this is no surprise to me...though I must agree she looks WAY to young to be a grandmama!
Myrtle and Winston are not even sick when they take a chunder and they bounce right back after that! Eww, Gwen. I can imagine how that felt.Date: 10/10/2008 2:28:46 AM

I can almost feel it between my toes when I share that delightful little story! Eww.![]()

Hi Harriet!
Congratulations on learning how to swim--that is a big achievement. Myrtle and Winston are such great names. Cophrophagia sounds like a great word until you look it up.Maybe we should reconsider getting pets...![]()

Yuck. Do you ever hear the sickening "chomp, chomp, chomp?" Myrtle used to eat her supplements under my desk.Date: 10/10/2008 8:56:31 PM

Our puppy has been supplementing her diet a lot lately. So disgusting when she comes in and gives me a huge grin![]()

Hello! No, there are no kitties in Leon''s workshop or office. Did you see the picture of him as a child? So cute. How old do you think he was then? Nope, my prongs never catch on anything. They''re too small.Date: 10/11/2008 12:31:55 PM

Hello Miss Harriet!!! I have a couple of Leon questions for you. I was browsing his site and saw cat pics!Does he really have a kitty wandering about his shop? As a crazy cat lady the pics made my heart all warm. Now for a jewelry related question. Do your prongs ever catch on anything?![]()
Yes all the time! She really loves eating it. Oh my stomach is turning over just thinking of it!Date: 10/11/2008 6:47:55 PM

Hehe... yeah right!
I once went out for lunch with a friend in a pub and we both ordered burger and fries. I whacked mine in my mouth just as I realised he was going to use his knife and fork to eat his. I thought about it for a minute then carried on chomping. No way was I eating with a knife and fork. I am just not posh I guess![]()
