OEC & OMC Primer?

I am relatively new here and have followed a couple of different threads regarding OMC, OEC, and transitional diamonds. Other than knowing what the abbreviations stand for I am pretty much clueless. Does anyone have a resource where I get learn the basics on these cuts? I''m wondering about their characteristics, availability, pricing, etc. Also, how do you evaluate these cuts? Are there trustworthy vendors who specialize in them?

Any info is appreciated.
