OEC In Custom DK Setting

I'm so excited my ring will be here tomorrow. I bought the oec last month, thank you D, and she sent it to DK. I haven't seen it irl so the whole ring will be a big surprise. David sent it to GIA and they graded it 1.21ct, J VS1, Old European Brilliant, measuring 6.72 - 6.87 x 4.28 mm. Everyone that's seen it says it's bright and white. It originally came from CvB Designs. I decided to go with 6 prongs inside a platinum bezel because the oec was a little wonkier than I thought but the rest of the setting is 18k yg.

I love it!! David went over and beyond making my dream ring. He tweaked and tweaked the cads and when I was being super picky about the milgrain, he redid it. I just love him. Setting the oec with prongs inside the plat bezel really increases the visual size of the stone. When worn, it looks well over 7mm and doesn't look wonky at all.
When I first put it on, my dh was blown away with the big colorful flashes and he was sitting at least 10ft away. I have a few photos I sent to my computer and many more I need to get off my phone.

I love how low it sits. I asked DK to make sure the plat bezel was polished inside so I could get as much light reflected as possible. When I looked underneath the bottom of the bezel, it was polished too. I'm the only one that would see that but it makes me happy.

I forgot I had this little 18k yg stacker from DK. The other band is my Tiffany Elsa Peretti I bought off of ebay for a steal. I sometimes wear it with the diamond turned around. I had DK add its specs to the cad so I would know how they would look and stack together.

Wow wow wow this is so beyond stunning!! The design is pure perfection and the oec is phenomenal. Your idea to have as much of the platinum polished to increase light return was so smart & I looooove the prongs and milgrain combo. This is one of my favorite rings for sure. The 18k is so rich! I absolutely love how luxurious the setting is yet it is so perfect for daily wear too.

Thank you for all the kind words. I can't seem to capture how white and flashy the OEC is. I picked up the 14k yg diamond bezel band on LT or DB, I don't remember. I love this ring! David was key in getting my vision out of my head and onto my finger.
