I really like that ritani pendant--I never even thought about it, but I have a bezel-set very simple rb pendant (no idea of specs, but probably between .35 - .50 ?) and I may steal your idea and have it reset in something like that!! I never even considered it! Can''t wait to see J in its shiny new home someday

When you are working with someone long distance and have to ship your stone to them, who do you use for the shipping? I realize you have insurance on your stone so you are probably covered if something happens, but this just freaks me out because I might be attached to the stone and hate to lose it. Just curious. I have some old jewelry that I would like to recycle and have seen your ring from Quest and I think Noobie had a pendant done from them? Awesome workmanship!! So how will you ship?

Well Libster, Quest is local for me.
I only live about 45 minutes from them.
I think MaryAlaina had a bad experience with a lost Pear. I don''t know all the details: where it was from or who it was going to. But that must have been awful.

Speaking of bezels... here''s another kind. Looks more dainty to me, and certainly larger, if this is important.

(the stone is 0.4cts and the entire bezel about 10mm diameter)

Well Kay, I like those settings too but for "K" I think I''m going traditional. I''m thinking platinum and bagguettes with a nice shared prong eternity band.

LOL! it's probably for the best. I'm so in love with those deco(? era/period?) settings(esp. the one on the right) that if she put 'K' in one, poor Sevens would find me camped outside her house in a tent, like a lost Deadhead.

I talked to my local postmaster recently about the best and safest way to ship jewelry/diamonds. I was told the the absolute safest way is Registered Mail through the US postal service. It takes a couple of days longer, but it is signed for by each and every person along the way that touches the box, and if it mysteriously disappears, they are easy to file a claim with and settle with a check in the shortest amount of time.
