GM lovely ladies! Happy Monday!

@marcy I measured the iPad for you and it is a 12" diagonal. Greg uses it as I prefer my small iPad however. You had a busy weekend. I didn't hear that about the TP potential shortage but we don't need any TP for a long while or at least that is what Greg tells me lol. Astronomy letter, laundry, work wow. Hope those snow drifts are gone and no more snow OK? Thanks for the Francesca flag compliment. How can it be Monday already? I hope this week isn't too crazy at work Marcy and please stop sending the wind our way lol. It has been crazy windy here since 8PM last night when we lost power due to the winds. Though it came back on relatively soon I was waiting for it to go out again as the winds did not die down and they are fierce today. XOXO.

@canuk-gal gale force winds by us now...and so forceful our power went out last night but the generator kicked in whew but thankfully it wasn't needed too long and our power went right back on a few minutes later. It is a pain when we lose power because everything needs to be reset. And our winds are crazy still so fingers crossed we don't lose power today. No riding for us yesterday (rain) or today due to the winds. Hope you can enjoy some riding this week. And yassss for decreasing work hours and not working so hard. You deserve some R and R. Big hugs.

@bling_dream19 hugs and hope your momma is doing OK and feeling better with each day.

@Austina hope the decluttering this weekend went well. Always feels good to declutter. For me it always clutters right back up again though. Short lived relief there lol. Happy Monday XO.

@Slick1 hope you had as good a weekend as possible and sending you comforting hugs and lots of well wishes.

@MamaBee how's your mom doing? And David? And you? Hugs.

@mrs-b ((((hugs)))) thinking of you dear girl. XOXO.

@sarahb what a surreal year plus it has been. Big hugs and continued good wishes being sent your way. XOXO.

@junebug17 hope you are enjoying your time in SC and all is going well with your children and you. Hugs and have a good week.

Hi to everyone else. We ran errands yesterday as it was raining but then the rain cleared and we got to go for our 10,000 steps walk. It was nice because it was empty on the trail. And we saw lots of birds and fish. It was a good Sunday.

And last night the winds picked up and are still crazy today. We lost power for a few minutes but our generator kicked in luckily and thankfully power was restored quickly. Mysterious how we lose power and then it's restored within minutes. What happens? Why does the power go out? IDK but just happy when it comes back on.

Today is windy so just walking and no cycling. Tomorrow Greg has a body check at the derm and I have a follow up visit too. I can see this week is going to fly by again. Enjoy a wonderful Monday lovely ladies. XOXO.

Hello lovelies

It’s only lunchtime and we’ve already done quite a lot

Love the new Francesca pennant @missy, it’s lovely to take her with you when you go out. Glad you’ve managed to get out and about, even if it is windy. Weather’s been a bit meh this weekend, so we cracked on with the clean out. The result was a trip to the dump this morning, which we timed perfectly as there was no queue, the 4 big black sacks of paperwork to be shredded. After that we went to the Meadows for a walk, it was lovely and sunny but a little cool. We didn’t need any TP either, hopefully what we have will last us. Did you know that all the swans in the UK belong to the Queen? Glad you’ve got your Derm appointments tomorrow, and wishing that all will be well with you both. Phew that the generator kicked in so you weren’t without power, that extra generator was certainly worth having. Wow, what a glorious sunrise.

@marcy, what a busy bee you’ve been and accomplished so much. Hopefully work won’t be mad busy this coming week, and you don’t have to pick up the slack of those not pulling their weight.

Hoping your Mum is improving daily @bling_dream19 and will soon be back to full strength. Are you wearing all your lovely new sparklies and enjoying them?

I’m wishing that you’re not feeling too awful @mrs-b and enjoying spending time with your visitors.

Sounds like a good plan @canuk-gal, hopefully your boss will be accommodating.

Had another 5 items collected this morning and just listed a few more things, we got stuff that Adam left here when we moved to the US

Had to measure the items that need special packing for the removal company, as they’ll be crated for shipping.

Off to declutter some more stuff and NOOOOO I’m not buying anything else @missy

Have a great Monday lovelies :wavey:

Good afternoon girls...I wish I could read all your news...I pop on and off to read a bit and do a quick look at bling...It keeps me sane. My mom fell again...She felt dizzy but decided not to tell the nurses...She walked herself with her walker to the end of the hall to check things out on her floor. She passed out and fell. Fortunately she didn’t hurt herself or her healing pelvis...They had a talk with her and told her she must ring for them when she wants to take a walk. They think one of the meds she’s on is making her dizzy. I’m on the phone all day either with my mom or someone from the home. I think things will calm down a bit soon...Right now we’re trying to see how they do things there. I’m pretty impressed with the communication...They are taking good care of her. She will meet her new doctor on Wednesday. I’m happy I made the decision to place her in the home. She’s being taken care of better than I could at home. I spoke to my doctor..She confirmed I couldn’t do all her care myself even with visiting nurses and therapists. That made me feel better...
I’ve been so stressed I’ve been considering more bling...haha
I hope you’re all well and happy. I hope to catch up with you soon! Fingers crossed!

I’m so sorry @MamaBee, as if you didn’t have enough stress, thank goodness she hasn’t hurt herself. You’ve done absolutely the right thing, there’s no way you could give her the amount of care she needs, it’s no reflection on you, she needs professional help, that’s just the way it is. Hopefully, she understands now she needs to call for help and doesn’t risk hurting herself again. It sounds like a great set up, they know what they’re doing, try and relax a bit by distracting yourself with bling

HI:

NIRDI shout out!

Man-o-man the wind woke us up today! Went to bed in a white out snow squall and the noisy wind ruckus! It is bloody cold this AM (-12C and windchill -18C) Bright and sunny but holy hanna. Terrible winds throughout our province, wreaking havoc, and my sister who lives in BC was without power for the vast majority of their day. I was thinking about @Begonia who is also in BC.

I got a short call but didn't go into work. I have a busy week--I am already working--and with Good Friday it makes for a short week. My grocery list is long and I need to make stuff. It was all I could do to get through the laundry--I'm doing winter blankets that I want to tuck away. No end to spring cleaning--throw rugs next.

@MamaBee I hope your Mother settles in to her new place and I hope she is on the mend. I am sorry she fell again. Take care!

cheers--Sharon

Hi everyone!

@Austina, I'm so excited for you; your dream is becoming a reality! Great news about your paperwork being approved. You're doing a great job clearing out and getting rid of things; it's a lot of work and so exhausting. Good news about Shirley, sounds like she is more at peace now.
I'm sorry the studs didn't work out, definitely disappointing but I'm sure other studs will come along.

@MamaBee, I'm so glad your mother didn't get hurt by the fall. Sending you support and comfort, I know this is a difficult time. Try not to feel guilty, your mother needs professional help and you're still very involved in her care. I get how stressful this is, please take care of yourself.

@Polabowla, thinking of you...I know your illness must be hard sometimes for your children to understand but remember that you are there for them and love them, and they know that. I hope you've been feeling ok and hopefully your doctors can come up with treatments to help with your symptoms.

@missy, very nice you're back to cycling. Sasha is such a sweet kitty and the swan is beautiful. Congrats on getting your second dose and being fully vaccinated. I hope you can get started on another medication soon that will help with your OP - and I hope the appointments went smoothly for you and Greg.

@mrs-b, I'm sorry you have been so ill and I'm hoping you're feeling better very soon. Very hard having a health issue that interferes so much with daily living and functioning. I hope you're having a great time with your company.

@MMtwo, I hope things are going well at the new job. Sorry you were under the weather and I hope you're back to normal now. Looking forward to seeing your new studs. Your golden pearls are just beautiful and look really pretty on you. Yes, flowers are starting to bloom here, so nice to see the beautiful colors.

@canuk-gal, so glad you got your first dose of the vaccine. I hope you and your boss can figure something out with your schedule; you've worked very hard and deserve a lighter load at this point.

@marcy, the pic of Marty standing next to the snow is just amazing. I'm hoping a lot of it is gone by now. Ugh, I just saw that you had ice recently, I'm sure you can't wait for warm weather. I'm sorry work is going to be tough for the next few months. It's great you were able to handle the barbell...and in your defense that storm door does sound a little tricky lol!

Things are good here...although my friend's daughter, who lives with her, got covid and by some miracle my friend didn't get it. Both of them are doing well, thank goodness, and I'm so relieved.

Otherwise things are pretty much status quo...I've been getting together with my sister. She, her husband, dh, and I are all fully vaccinated so that has taken some of the worry out of getting together. And today is dd's birthday, she's 32. I can't believe it!

Sending good thoughts to all, take care everyone!

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy thank you for the iPad info. I think I am going to order the 11” iPad Pro. If I had ordered it Monday I’d be home for delivery; maybe I’ll time it better for next week! Our drifts are under a foot now and gone in other places. I am having fun plowing through them as I come home from work. I didn’t mean to send so much wind your way; sadly it is still windy here. Beautiful sunrise and how nice to get in your 10,000 steps.

@Austina that is interesting the swans there belong to the Queen. What is the story behind that? You have been a busy bee too, methodically getting things taken care of and getting ready for the big move. I sure hope that is soon. Have they started on your home yet? I can honestly say my team is all doing a ton of work; just we are so busy the cracks in their motivation or depth of knowledge is certainly showing.

@MamaBee I hate to hear your mom fell again but I am glad you are feeling better about your decision. She is definitely where people can take care of her and all of her needs. I know I struggled with that when my mom was falling a lot and Marty finally pointed out to me I would feel worse if she got hurt because I was unable to help her get up or pick her up off the floor. It’s hard when they need more help than we can give them. Big hugs to you and her both. @Austina said it well - your mom needs professional care and they are trained and know what to do.

@canuk-gal stupid wind! It sounds like the wind is blowing from your neck of the woods and clear across the continent all the way to Missy’s house. Glad you have a short week!

@junebug17 yes that drift behind Marty was something. It’s maybe 18” now. I am glad your friend’s daughter recovered from Covid and your friend never caught it. Happy Birthday to your DD!

@Polabowla - sending mega get well dust to you and your family.

So I have decided I have a shopping problem. I decided I’ve spent too much money recently on jewelry so now I’m shopping for a new iPad and maybe a new car. Our Audi / Porsche dealer must want used cars so I keep getting emails saying my car would probably be worth … - so now I am thinking of getting a new car. I love driving my car but in the back of my mind I always think I don’t want to pay for the repairs on that car since it’s out of warranty. I might look at an Audi A6 Allroad. Or not, who knows?

Work has been busy and bringing forth bursts of Gordon Ramsey speak. It’s impossible to get everything done so we are all pretty stressed.

Take care.

GM lovely ladies!

@marcy the 11" is a great size and I think you will enjoy that very much. Yay for getting those drifts under a foot lol and I know snow is not unusual through June by you but let's hope the snow is over for this year. Fingers crossed. I am sorry work has been so stressful and I can definitely get on the shopping bandwagon with you. I wouldn't mind a new car for myself either. I don't even drive much and I do love our car but an extra one just for me wouldn't be bad. LOL. And on top of a shopping problem I want to adopt more animals. So umm yeah I understand the desire and I get you. Hugs and hope today is a calm day at work.

@Polabowla please never feel you have to apologize. We are here for you whenever you need/want us to be and there is zero pressure to post/not post etc. You have so much going on and my heart goes out to you and your family. Sending bucketloads of healing vibes and gentle hugs. Hope you all feel back to 100% soon. (((Hugs))).

@bling_dream19 sending you so many hugs and healing vibes to your mom. How are you all doing? Thinking of you and hope the week is going well. XOXO.

@Slick1 I am so sorry this is such a difficult time for your family and I think of you every day and hope somehow things get better. Gentle hugs. I hope you are enjoying a good week off work and that you are spending time with your loved ones. (((Hugs))).

@canuk-gal how is your week going? I hope you took/are taking time for yourself. I hope work is less stressful and I also hope you are enjoying some fun activities this week like cycling. Our winds calmed down but they are going to speed up today as we are expecting more torrential rain today and tomorrow. Here we go again. But it beats snow lol. Sending you big hugs and lots of good wishes. XOXO.

@junebug17 I'm sorry about your friends but glad they are recovered. Covid is scary. How lovely you are seeing your sister and her family and happy birthday to your DD. Wow she's 32. Time is flying by. My mom always likes to joke how did I get to be older than her and yeah I understand that now. I saw David yesterday and he was looking at my record and said well you're still young and I said to him nope, I'm your age and we aren't youngsters anymore. LOL. But it beats the alternative. Hope you have a wonderful day and please tell your DD a happy birthday from us. XOXO.

@MMtwo how is your week going? Hugs and more hugs and hope all is well.

@MamaBee thinking of you and hope you know you are doing all you can and your mom is in good hands. You made it happen and she is being well looked after and taken good care of. I am so sorry about her recent fall. Super scary and thank goodness she didn't cause further harm to herself. Big hugs to you sweet Joanne.

@Austina yay for more decluttering. You are a wonderful role model and I need to take a page from your book as I haven't done any organizing decluttering for many months and it shows. Lots of books and clothes and stuff needs to be evaluated and donated. I did not know that about the swans. That is really interesting. Greg didn't know that either. Thanks for all your kind and good wishes. Hope all is going smoothly and sending you hugs and lots of love.

@mrs-b I hope your loved ones are still staying with you and all is going smoothly. And I fervently hope you are feeling well. Continued healing vibes and big hugs being sent your way. XOXO.

Hi to everyone else. Hope all is going well.

So Greg's derm found another suspicious mole yesterday and did a tape biopsy. We never had that done before but it was such a big mole he didn't want to cut into it unless necessary so he did a different type of biopsy. We get the results in a week. Praying it is benign.

My visit was uneventful and David said the skin on my face looks amazing. LOL my skin is the bane of my existence at times due to my eczema (on my legs that flares on and off) but it was nice to hear his compliment. He is a very calming and reassuring person.

He is following one of my nevus's on my upper chest that is very large and has been evaluating it for a decade now. It doesn't change so we don't have to cut it out because I keloid like crazy so unless it's necessary we want to leave it. He called in Greg's derm (work in the same office and Greg alternates between seeing them both every 3 months) as he always does to take a look since Greg's derm is an oncology specialist. He agreed with David it looks a bit uneven with dots but stable so agreed it was OK to continue watching.

Then Greg and I drove back home and we got to cycle woohoo. It was fun and will be the last day we get to cycle for at least a few days due to rain rain rain.

Today we are going to attempt a walk before the rain gets here but not sure we will beat the rain so we shall see.

Sending big hugs and lots of good wishes to each one of you lovely ladies. One day at a time.

Leaving you with a photo from yesterday's cycling adventures. The water color was unreal and the sky so blue. Bluetiful.

Good Morning NIRDI's.
I've been thinking of you all.

@Polabowla Oh no. I hope the family heals up quickly and everyone is okay very soon.

@MamaBee I'm glad to hear your Mother is okay. They will work with her and keep her safer. It would be very comforting to hear the Doctor agree that she should have been placed into a home that could provide more care than possible. You are such a good daughter to her. Your Mom is blessed. Don't we all buy "comfort" bling? Whatever helps you feel better, we'll vote yes. Seriously, take care of yourself. I hope the stress level gets better for you.

@marcy hi ya.. Hope you continue to get R&R when you can. My hubs has the big I Pad Pro and he loves it. By the way, your hubby is a cutie. It's fun seeing pictures of everyone's lives & loves.

@canuk-gal hope your week is moving right along and you are marking off your "to-do" items. Sorry to hear about your wind storm.

@junebug17 good morning. Thank you, it's been a blingy month and I've been enjoying it!

@mrs-b thinking of you. Hope you have caught a break and are feeling better.

@missy hopefully the derm has good news for Greg. Your ocean is an amazing, vibrant blue and the pictures make me feel better! I love spring and those early warm days.

My sister will be here this weekend. Looking forward to her visit. Opening up the guest oom. How long has it been since I had company? ages.

I've been swamped with learning the new job and so sorry I have dropped by less lately. It's going okay, but I have a lot to learn with the process structure. Sending HUGS and well wishes for everyone not mentioned above!

Hello lovelies

Had another manic day yesterday, Colin was clearing out the and I was going through my wardrobes - again!

@Polabowla I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been struck down with the dreaded Covid. Wishing you and your family a very speedy recovery, take good care.

Happy birthday to your DD @junebug17, wow they do have a habit of getting older and making us feel old! Woohoo that you and DH are fully vaccinated and can now mix with family without worrying too much. Glad to hear your doing well and that your friend didn’t contract the virus. We’re still waiting for our 2nd jabs but not worried as half the population here now have antibodies, and we’re still being careful.

I’m sure there must be heaps to get to grips with in the new job @MMtwo, but don’t doubt you’ll soon be on top of things. Are you enjoying your lovely new bling, your studs look beautiful and the perfect size on you?

Good grief @canuk-gal that’s some temperature, sorry the wind’s been so fierce it work you up. Hope you’re having an easier week work wise.

We haven’t heard about the house yet @marcy, although we have our first design appointment on Friday, so perhaps we’ll find out more then. This is the history behind the Queen and swans :

Why does the Queen own swans?

Historically, this legislation was created because swans were eaten as a prized food at banquets and feasts. Valuable rights of ownership were granted by the monarch to a select few.

But today, swans are no longer eaten and are a protected species.

Hundreds of years ago there were severe penalties for injuring or killing a swan, and criminals could be jailed for a year even for stealing swan eggs.

Apart from the Queen there are only three organisations which are allowed to own swans - Abbotsbury Swannery since the 14th Century, the Vintners since the 15th Century and the Dyers also since the 15th Century.

Ooo exciting about possibly getting a new car, you only live once, so why not?

Continuing to send good thoughts to your Mum @bling_dream19 and hoping you’re having a good week.

I hope your Mum is settling in her new place @MamaBee and you’re feeling less stressed about the situation. Once she gets used to it, she’ll be fine, especially as you’re so close and can visit often.

I hope you’re doing better @mrs-b and able to enjoy time with your guests.

Everything crossed Greg’s mole is benign @missy, and won’t cause any further issues for him. How lovely to be told you have great skin, and your nevus will be kept under observation.

Woohoo to being able to get out when you got home, it was a beautiful day here too yesterday, we went out first thing before coming home and getting started on clearing out. I‘Ve bagged 7 big black sacks of clothes and we’ve dropped them off to the Salvation Army, and we did another trip to the dump today. Unfortunately it was really busy so we had to wait in the overflow car park and did eventually manage to get rid of the things Colin had taken out of the shed.

It was like Grand Central here yesterday with collections, and finding more things to list, which I washed before passing on.

I took a card and a bottle of wine to our new neighbours this morning to welcome them, they seem very nice and will hopefully be happy living here.

We’re off to Costco this afternoon, got a couple more collections and waiting for our fruit delivery to arrive.

Have a great day lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy it’s good we can amuse ourselves with new things. It’s good for the economy, right? I know you always want new kitties. I bet there are times you and Greg would like having a second car. I feel lost when I don’t have a car. Hoping the biopsy comes back negative on Greg’s mole. Sounds like you got a good report card with your doctor. I have the same problem with keloids; I swear I could get a massive scar from a paper cut. You should see the one on my neck; it looked like a worm for years and finally at least flattened out. Glad you got to cycle and I love the calming picture of the ocean.

@MMtwo awe thanks - I sure think Marty is a cutie. Thank you for the info on your husband’s iPad. I might have to venture to Colorado and compare both iPads. I wonder if our local Verizon has iPads without cellular; probably not. I could at least look at them. I hope your learning curve on the new job slows down soon. Have a great time with your sister’s visit.

@Austina you and Colin can’t have anything left in your house by now - or so it seems. Ha Ha. Sadly longer you live somewhere the more stuff you collect. Thank you for the information about the swans; very cool. I so admire Queen Elizabeth - IMO she is an amazing woman. They always say she follows “keep calm and carry on”. Have fun with your design appointment. It’s funny Marty and I both love driving the Porsche but it’s kind of like hey we had our fun and we don’t need another one. I still don’t want to afford paying for a car repair on it. Once we bought our first Audi we both agreed we aren’t letting them go out of warranty and yet here we are.

One of my employees called in sick today so I did his work and mine. I hated to dump his stuff on someone else. Of course I found all sorts of issues in what people have done so I was doing my Gordon Ramsey venting upon occasion. I ordered in lunch with Door Dash. I did manage to log off at 4:30 to go downstairs and lift but then had to log back in 3 times for some issue that our CAS department is getting but I sure can’t see what’s causing it. It’s on the 2nd so it can wait until tomorrow morning.

Take care.

GM lovely ladies! Happy Thursday and happy April Fools Day. All week I have felt it was a different day than the actual day it is. Like today it feels like Friday and last Saturday felt like Sunday all day and well you get the picture. LOL what day is it and does it even matter?

@marcy I am sorry you had to do the work of two plus people yesterday due to your employee calling out but I have a feeling it isn't very different from any other day for you at work. And sorry for all the mistakes you always have to fix. Glad you got to log off at 4:30 despite all of the extra work and lift yay for door dash. Boo for having to log back on three times after you logged off though. Hope today goes smoothly. Thanks for your continued good wishes and right back at ya. Hugs.

@Austina another busy day for you but I know it feels great accomplishing so much. How lovely of you to welcome your new neighbors. When we moved here our neighbors were so welcoming and brought champagne and baked goods and it really goes a long way in making one feel welcome. Very interesting info about the swans. How could anyone kill those beautiful animals I will never understand and good for the queen for protecting them.Hope Costco went well. I really love Costco lol. Have a lovely day. XOXO.

@sarahb good morning! Hope you are doing well and your family is well. Big hugs and lots of good wishes. What a crazy year and counting but one day at a time and it is always so nice to "see" you here. XOXO.

@Slick1 hope your week has been going as smoothly as possible and you are getting a much needed break from work. Hugs and more healing vibes and lots of love.

@MMtwo glad your sister is visiting this weekend. How lovely that will be. And glad work is going well. It is always a learning curve and be kind and patient with yourself. Sending you lots of hugs and good wishes. Have fun with your sister.

@Polabowla more healing vibes and lots of well wishes being sent to you and your family. (((Hugs))).

@bling_dream19 sweet friend how are you? Hugs to you and lots of good wishes to your mom and hope her recovery is going well. XOXO.

Hi to everyone else. Big hugs.

Greg and I had a good day yesterday. We walked instead of cycled because it was raining all morning and we had a window of no rain to enjoy a walk in the afternoon. Then I picked up my gun permit at the police station (Greg got his last week) and we are all set to get handguns and rifles. We want them for skeet shooting and target practice at the gun range and for home protection too. When I was young my parents had rifles and we went skeet shooting. It's lots of fun actually. Anyway it was a long process and took 6 months to get the gun permits.

After that we went to Trader Joe's and got some fresh produce. And that was our day. It always goes so fast. Today we are walking in the afternoon again due to the weather. I am happy as long as we can get outside and be active.

Happy April 1st girls and be safe and well and have a wonderful day. XOXO.
Leaving you with a photo from our walk yesterday.

Hello lovelies

Just a quick lull while we have a sit down for a few minutes.

We didn’t end up going to Costco yesterday @missy we just got busy with people collecting things, and then realised it’s Easter this weekend, so it would’ve been really busy. We don’t need anything in particular, so it can wait until next week when it’ll be quieter. Glad you got to get out and walk yesterday, we popped out today before starting on decluttering. Adam has a permit to carry, but only uses his gun for target shooting at a range. I used to enjoy rifle shooting and archery years ago. We are totally with you on getting the days muddled, Colin and I both thought it was Friday today too.

 That’s almost the plan @marcy, no point in us paying to haul a lot of stuff we’re never going to use again, so might as well get rid of everything we can. We did hear from the builder yesterday, they haven’t broken ground yet on the house, just waiting on the paperwork to start. Phooey to having to do other people’s work, I hope you put in for their pay too! Have you had any more thoughts about changing your car? We’ve been pretty fortunate that our last few cars came with 3 years free servicing, and we had no other issues with them at all.

Hoping you and your family are doing well @Polabowla and feeling better with each day.

Several more bags of things to drop off, plus someone coming to collect several other items later, back to the salt mines for me!

Sending love and hugs to you all. :wavey:

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy what a beautiful view from your walk yesterday. Nice to get your gun permits and plans on getting some handguns and rifles. Skeet shooting is really fun.

@Austina I am leaning towards a new car. The Macan is 4 1/2 years old and of course each day it ages the less trade I’ll get for it. I have not had problems with any our of Audi or the Porsche but in the back of my mind I know I don’t want to afford repair bills on them. I could look at getting an extended warranty for 2 years but those are 4 to 6 thousand so I think it’s smarter to get a new car. I emailed our salesman last night but never heard from him today. Seems like he takes Tuesday or Thursday off so if I don’t hear from him tomorrow I’ll call. I hope to at least test drive the Allroad this weekend. A dealer in Denver has a model and color I think I want but if we buy from them I’d feel funny taking it in for service at the dealer closer to us (5o miles away). It’s nice to have service included. Our first Audi was like that, the next 2 didn’t include service and the Porsche included the first regular maintenance. Hurry up and break ground already, eh? Good luck continuing your decluttering.

@bling_dream19 that’s great your mom is getting stronger each day. It seems so slow but looking back by each week it’s great to see progress.

I did get 2 batches of laundry done since I was home today. Rumor has it starting June 1st we’ll all be back in the all every day.

Take care.
Marcy

@bling_dream19 so pleased your mom is doing well and yes please get more sleep and take care of yourself too. You are a wonderful DD, wonderful DW and well a wonderful friend and now please be good to yourself too. XOXO.

@marcy I cannot believe the Macan is 4 and a half years old already. It feels like you just got it. Wow. And yeah it can be challenging to get replies back from salespeople, business owners and yes even doctors. Mind boggling really how slow many are to reply. Anyhoo, happy Easter weekend and what are your plans? Nice you got all your laundry done. Are you off work today due to Good Friday I hope. I hope you don't have to be back in the office every day starting in June. Fingers crossed. Hugs.

@Austina your decluttering is going very well. It was smart to postpone Costco because I bet you are right and it was and is crowded due to the holiday. We haven't gone this week yet and perhaps we will postpone til next week. Not sure what to do because if next week is beautiful weather I don't want to waste time going to Costco and today is brutally cold so it would be a good day to go but we don't need anything today. LOL. OK enough of my rambling. I have enjoyed Skeet shooting in the past (I was a pre teen and teen when I did target shooting) but it has been decades. So will see if I still enjoy it. My gun is being shipped to the dealer and due to arrive this Saturday but we won't be picking it up right away. Waiting for Greg's gun to be shipped so we only have to go once. Good luck with the house building. So exciting and soon enough it will be happening. Happy Easter weekend. XOXO.

@Slick1 happy Easter weekend sweet lady. Big hugs. Keeping good thoughts for you. XOXO.

@MamaBee hugs and hope your mom is doing better each day. XOXO.

@canuk-gal happy holiday weekend and hugs. Stay warm and enjoy.

@MMtwo hope you enjoy a lovely weekend and happy holiday. XOXO.

@Polabowla hugs and more healing vibes. Hope you are doing well.

@mrs-b you are in my thoughts. Big hugs.

@sarahb have a wonderful Easter weekend and big hugs to you.

Hey to everyone else. Hope all is well. It's another freezing day here. Windy windy windy and cold. Yesterday we managed to have a good hike after the rain left but it was very cold. Not sure what our plans are today because it is even colder. I hope everyone enjoys a wonderful day and for all who celebrate Easter and Passover have a good weekend. (((Hugs))).

Leaving you with a few pics from our hike yesterday. It was a moody but beautiful sky.

HI:

NIRDI shout out!! Hope everyone is well!

I left my grocery list out and my DH went and got all the groceries. Well I NEVER! First time in 35 years of marriage. I appreciated it!

Work was work. I dislike the politics that goes on:rolleyes:..... At least I get my steps in!!!!! Speaking of steps I did have a walk outside--and a bike ride today. Still very windy (??) and brisk temps. But the sun is shining and that counts for something.

Take care folks!!!!!

cheers--Sharon

Hi girls...My mom is doing well at the new nursing home. They are doing such a good job keeping on top of everything..She‘s still in quarantine because she came from another facility. One more week and David and I can visit her in her room for forty-five minutes. When she gets a little stronger we can take her to my house for a visit for a few hours. I’ll have to do it on a Saturday so my husband can help me get her in the car and in the house. I told her she needs to heal a little bit more. We’ll go over there to visit until then...
I‘m enjoying reading everyones posts but my brain can’t keep everything in yet. I’m a nervous wreck because I’m getting an echocardiogram on Tuesday. My ejection fraction was borderline during the last two echos..and I have a few leaky valves..one moderately. I’m so worried that I have heart failure. I postponed two echos because I was afraid to go. It’s been four years since my last one so I have to make this one. I’m praying it’s stable and my heart is normal and hasn’t dipped. If the ejection fraction went lower it puts me in a reduced range. I told the cardiologist the last time that I wanted a buffer...He laughed and said normal is normal but one point lower and it’s in the gray range. I’m just explaining why I haven’t been here...I’m a little overwhelmed and pretty scared. I’ve been trying to distract myself with bling here on PS. I’m trying not to impulse buy..
I hope everyone is well....I’ll catch up when I can think..XOXO

Im happy your mother is doing better!
Good luck with the echo & dust for good healthy outcome!

I somehow seem to have sinus congestion in addition to worsening covid symptoms so i am quite sick.
Thankfully the rest of my family is slowly recovering.
Thank you for all the well wishes.

Happy passover/easter/spring holidays to whomever is celebrating! May this be a time of renewed health & happiness for all!

@mrs-b i hope you're feeling a bit of relief from your symptoms

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy thank you for the Snoopy picture; it naturally made me smile. I did work on Friday and we are just spending Easter at home. Do you have plans? I know I can’t believe my Macan is 4 1/2 years old already.

@MMtwo I hope you are doing well.

@canuk-gal how nice your DH did grocery shopping for you. Marty was doing that prior to COVID and now we do pick up at the store. I really appreciated him shopping for us. I am sorry you are dealing with office politics and are so busy at work. If only we could win that lottery!

@MamaBee I hope your echocardiogram goes well - mega dust coming your way. I am glad that facility is taking good care of your mom and you and David can go visit her soon. Take care!

@Polabowla sending you mega dust to feel better and I am glad to hear the rest of the family is getting better.

I got my hair cut this morning then we headed to Colorado to test drive the A6 Audi Allroad. Definitely a different driving experience than the Macan; we both like it though. It’s definitely a comfortable, gutsy and agile car. Then we wandered around looking at the other Audis on the lot and then ventured over to the Porsche side. They had a white Macan GTS with the black grill and trim and we decided to take it for a drive and while I fully intended to “think about” my choices and come home with a new iPad we came home with a new Macan. Marty said I made a decision to that shows I like to drive more than I like to putz around in comfort.

While they were working up the paperwork we ran out and had lunch. The poor salesman was swamped today. I honestly didn’t even drive the Macan until a little while ago after we’d been home. It’s not like I haven’t driven one before.

Take care.
Marcy

@marcy that is a beautiful car. I cannot believe the Macan is four and a half years old. No. Where did the time go? Where is it going? Don't answer that lol. Good for you getting your hair cut and test driving the Audi. Comfortable and agile sounds good. But yes I think a new Macan is the way to go. You love it and it has proven itself a great car for you. Haha love what Marty said. You like to drive more than putz around in comfort. I do believe that is a yiddish word. Isn't it funny how yiddish is used by almost everyone at times? LOL. Happy Easter Marcy and big hugs to the bears and (easterish) bunnies. XOXO.
