Does anyone have a wedding set that does not include a solitaire? I like the idea of a half-eternity (or full) for an engagement ring and then just a plain wedding band or even another eternity ring for the extra bling! If anyone has pictures of a set like that, please post them, I would love to see what you have come up with, I need some inspiration!! Thanks in advance!

wedding band is a sapphire eternity. There are a few other non-solitary sets that hopefully someone else will remember.

I love that look, a close friend has a lucida sapphire eternity band as her e-ring and an heirloom wedding band. Love it!

Wow, those are beautiful! Thank you so much!

Hiya-

An eternity ring and plain band are one of my favorite looks.
This is my 5 stone with my wedding band. I wear this combo half the time and just love it!
If you do decide to go that route, make sure you won''t miss having that one single stone that''s still very symbolic of engagements.

Hi elle! Thanks for posting your set, I love your 5 stone ring and the wide band looks wonderful with it. I''m not a very traditional type of girl and more for the simplicity of the bands (plus I''m a little nervous I would chip a solitaire, I do a lot of work with my hands in the computer industry), but my BF has already said that if I change my mind later on he wouldn''t mind getting me a solitaire for an anniversary gift (or a holiday), so I figure I can get the best of both worlds IF I really want it!

Hi all! I''m new here. . .first post, but long time lurker.

I am in the same situation as you. I do not want something that I can damage easily, but do enjoy a classic solitaire. Have you thought about a bezel or semi bezel setting that sits low?

This is the route that I will be taking.

My original set is a full eternity band, and a tension set celon sapphire with bezel set diamond side stones... so it''s all flush. I''m trying to find a pic of it... I may not have it on this machine... I will take one for you!

Ok, found it! My eternity band is 1 ctw, and the chips on the ring are who knows... haha!

Nice collage Musey! I love your Jazz with the sapphire band!

Remind me, is the jazz a full eternity, or do you have a sizing bar?

i luuuvvv having a 'non traditional' set! actually for our 1st anniversary i'm looking to replace my plain band with either a sapphire/diamond band - an all diamond band - or an aqua/diamond band (my birthstone).

it's also sparkles like MAD and does a really nice job of covering some serious finger real estate.
i get complements all the time on my 'set'.

p.s. my bands are from signed pieces.

here is how i wear them daily ;)

to my knowledge, tiffany doesn''t have any with sizing bards.

Thank you so much for all the responses! All of you rings are lovely and I really appreciate your suggestions. I think I may prefer a half eternity in the channel set style and a plain band. I''m a little concerned that a shared prong eternity would scratch a plain band. We''re planning on going to look at some more rings (previously looked at solitaires) tomorrow, so I''ll check out the bezel set style. Thank you all again!

I don't have a pic of them being worn together but my old engagement ring ( I lost it) was a scatterset band and I wore it with a thinner similar band - will put a pic on - the only one of my wedding band has my replacement e ring as well so you'll have to imagine the two band rings together.

Oh thank you, elle!

Thanks Cathers, I drew a rough idea of what I wanted and took it into a Jeweller near me who was great, he mocked one up in silver, got all the stones in to pick, we drew on the silver band exactly where I wanted them to go and then he made the real thing in white gold - the only drawback was he took FOREVER to make it! He made my wedding band up as well. Shame I lost but completely my own fault, after having my daughter I wore it on a chain around my neck and it must have broken while I was out one day.

I wore this look for many years when my children were young. The rings are pictured here (Link) in the third picture down (you have to try to block out my new little chameleon diamond, which is what I am showing in the thread). I found the look was great, practical, comfortable, you name it!

thanks for the reply, and sorry to hear about your wedding band

I forgot to ask if your e-ring had diamonds all the way around the band? What is the size range of the diamonds?

I wear these rings together a lot instead of my ering. I really like the simplicity of it.

Hi Cathers, sorry I meant that I had lost my e ring not my wedding band. The stones do go all the way around and they range from 1 to about 10 points I think.

I luvcarats that floral band is lovely - do you have any close ups?
