I was reading the pricescope FAQ on flourescence, and it seemed to indicate that yellow / orange flourescence was to be avoided at all costs for non-fancy diamonds. This seems quite harsh.

How much of an impact is e.g. medium flourescence on the Color of a diamond. Will it bring it down a grade (or more?). And how about for strong flourescence?

One opinion I read said that the yellow fluorescence could make the diamond appear as much as 3-4 color grades lower. If you don't care about yellow tint in your diamond, just save money and buy a lower color to begin with.
