TKC,

The orange sapphire is beautiful and so is that Regal Amythist. Just curious, is the sapphire heated?

The orange sapphire is heated only. I wish it were not heated.

I haven''t seen a pure orange sapphire that was unheated, that''s why I asked.

It was given by my uncle who likes collecting gemstones. Since I was curious about today''s sapphire treatments, I sent it to the AGTA lab. It is a quite big stone for orange sapphire. It is 1.85 carats.

Don''t know if this will work - more inexpensive concaves - citrine, topaz, tourmaline, topaz, garnet, peridot, amethyst - square cushions - come in several shapes and calibrated sizes.

I also like orange gemstones. I own this orange sapphire. It has regular oval cut, but I just like the color. How do you guys think?

I've bought my entire collection of 26 gemstones from eBay (I know I know, that is a little crazy) Most of them inexpensive, a few in the $150 - $200 range. Then there was the $3K sapphire. I think the thing is you have to do a lot of watching and background checking before buying on eBay. There are some sellers who are honest and honor returns. It is worth of checking.
