I got engaged on the Fourth of July in San Francisco! Here's the link to my proposal story if anyone is interested The ring is a GIA-certified 1 ct. G color VS1 round brilliant disco ball of perfection. It is ice white and meticulously cut, with not a single visible inclusion. He bought the diamond from USAA. The setting is the ME29 from James Allen, and Brian said that they were incredibly accommodating and helpful. The setting features 55 diamonds in a full eternity band and halo, with each little stone being between F-G in color and VS1-VS2 in clarity.

Thank you so much everyone! I''m so proud of my FI for the amount of research he put into this purchase. He took my suggestion to use online resources (this is BIG for a guy who barely even uses his personal email account) and he even asked my friends to be part of the selection process. One friend found out my ring size, another helped him sort through diamonds in his price range, etc. I am just so overwhelmed by how thoughtful and wonderful my future husband is

@MissGotRocks and LaurenThePartier: My Sheltie has actually been in a pretty bad mood all summer lol She''s always hot and she can''t stay outside long because of her thick fur coat, so I''m seriously wondering if it''s possible to give her a "summer haircut." I always feel sorry for Shelties who are shaved because they look so ridiculous, but perhaps it''s more comfortable?

@thing2of2 Apparently their selection is pretty substantial! The Web site says that they have over 20,000 loose diamonds to choose from, and they also have a kickas% upgrade policy. That part is particularly exciting to me, although I''m not interested in that for a very very long time
