junebug and dreamer, I think it's a little high, but I want my eternity band to sit flush with my engagement ring, so maybe it's for the best? At any rate, I can't part with it for even an hour now, so any lowering of prongs will have to wait!

I think your ring is stunning and your diamond looks gigantic on your hand. I personally don''t think it is too high. Have you measured to see how many mm from the bottom of the ring to the table of the stone? Height is personal preference. If you think it''s high, have it lowered, but one thing I would not want to change is how HUGE your diamond looks on your finger . . . WOWZA! Enjoy

What a fabulous ring! Your stone is beautiful and looks so nice and substantial on your hand (which is not ugly, by the way!). The setting does look a wee bit high to me, but maybe wait to make any changes until you''ve decided on your wedding band. Best wishes to you and your new fiance!

I think the part that will allow or not allow a flush fit in the actual basket that the diamond sits inside, and that will be the same size whether or not you change how the diamond is set within the basket, KWIM? So I suspect that you can lower the diamond if you want to, and it won''t change the flush-fitability of the setting at all

But wear it as it is if you just love every minute of it! It is lovely either way.

The question is a matter of preference and taste, beautiful ring, the setting might be a bit too high for everyday wear. I have a 2.10ct set in a low tiffany knife edge band setting.

I may be a bit biased though as your ring is a bigger and slightly higher version of my ring! The jeweller was going to set mine higher too so that it sits flush with my w-ring but I decided to go low (and with a gap) because I work with gloves everyday. See how you go with the wedding ring; you can always set it a bit lower in the future if you feel like it.
