I've been lurking around these boards for the past few weeks trying to find as much info as I can about making a Harry Winston micro pave cushion halo replica. My boyfriend has purchased the diamond from James Allen and it's beautiful!

Diamond specs:

Cushion Modern Brilliant
1.20 carat
G color
VVS2 clarity

I have contacted Chris from Engagement Rings Direct after reading all of the rave reviews by other pricescopers on here. My question is what size melee would be best to use in the halo/shank for that size center stone? How thick should the band be? Also, my ring is going to be CAD/casted, not hand forged...but I still want it to look as delicate as possible. Will this still be achievable? If anyone has any finished rings by ERD that are CAD design, please share them! I have gotten quotes from Steven Kirsch, Leon Mege, Victor Canera, and JBEG..and they were all out of my price range. ERD quoted me the most reasonable price and they have been very responsive so far.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Someone can correct me if I'm mistaken, but this is a style that ERD has successfully executed many times now so I do not think it will be necessary to dictate to them the size of the melee or the band. The band should be made proportional to the size of your cushion + halo so that it will not take away from the centerpiece but will still be sturdy enough.

I take it you have already read through this thread, yes? As for ERD CAD pieces, there are some handforged ones mixed in there but here is an ERD thread: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/show-me-your-erd-brilliantly-engaged-thread.192763/

Good luck and welcome! Please be sure to come back and post pictures when it is finished :)

Thanks for posting those links! I hadn't seen the ERD one yet, so that helped a lot! I will definitely be sure to post pictures once the ring is made! :)
