Hi this is a diamond I recently got recommended for my $5k budget (AUS dollars and that is my budget for the entire ring.
Was hoping someone could give me advice on the quality of this ring and whether it's a good pick considering the budged!
Diamond is .81ct FVS1 with image and ASET report attached.

Please, please any advice would be much appreciated diamond is on hold until the end of the week! ;)

I am no expert but the ASET to me shows a lot of green which means light leakage, which is something you don't want.

Red and green are what you do want to see on an ASET...this stone is showing a little too much contrast (blue) though. I think
you can do better. The black would be leakage.

Edit...see the asets on the following stones. I would consider these nice/decent asets.

Hi my understanding was that red and green are good, blue is the light obstructed by the observer and black and white sis what shows light leakage?
I've been told that smaller stones do not get the same cutting specific as larger ones?
The ASET report you have provided do look great great but unfortunately all three are out of my budget. I only have $5k to spend for the entire ring so the diamond needs to be around $3,000-$3,500.

In this case with white background

white=leakage
red=strong light return
green=less bright
blue=obstruction/contrast
black=light completely lost (facets neither return or leak any light), which can act as contrast

I think this stone is a bit too contrasty to my taste, although the stone appears to be well defined overall with minimal mushy facets under the table.
