#TBT New yellow diamond ring in blackened gold

A new ring I designed for myself.

I can't remember the exact specs of the stones, but they are both roughly 0.5ct each. White Asscher and FY radiant. Set in blackened gold. Totally in love.

The yellow was originally set in my rose gold engagement band but didn't really look good in it, so swapped it out for a 0.5ct emerald cut. I finally found a use for it other than it sitting hidden away in the safe.

Really cool ring! It must catch a lot of attention. What material is black gold composed of? Is it some sort of coating that needs to be redone often?

I'm not sure what they used to coat it but hopefully it doesn't need done very often. I'm only going to use it on the odd occasion so it shouldn't get too much wear and tear.
