You guys convinced me to abandon my EGL search and go to GIA. I still want >1.55ct, I or J, and SI1/2 (bigger the better). I can't go higher than $8300 but that's with all discounts (Pricescope and bank wire) so it seems like on sites such as James Allen I can go as high as 8800 regular priced. I'm looking for whitest J I can find (fluoresence is great), and as eye clean SI1/2 I can get. I've found a few (like the below) but would love you guys' help in identifying any others that might look promising. I need the stone ASAP so I can pair it with the setting for the e-ring. Any help appreciated! Thanks! :) Btw - are there any other sites that give images of the actual diamond, like James Allen? (...i've already spent a lot on Appraisers on stones that failed)

Yes, WhiteFlash and Good Old Gold also have photos of their in-house stock. I will take a quick look for you.

I didn't see anything on WF or GOG. I am not sure if you have asked for images on James Allen stones yet or not, but I'd suggest checking with them on these three and ask if they are eyeclean, and if any are, then ask for idealscope images. You are definitely looking at J SI2 with your size and budget.

I know it's not GIA and they say it faces up like a k but what do you think about an antique cut. Those are beautiful in lower colors anyways
It's beautiful I think, but they aren't for everyone

A very reputable ps vendor too
This is one of the diamonds that I bought and returned. It is very beautiful, but sadly it didn't face up like a K. It is a GIA M, and that's actually exactly what it is. Quite warm. And I LOVE warm. But it was a beautiful diamond. If you don't mind the color, I would check it out. It had a lot of fire and brilliance.

Oh good to know! It looks really beautiful though. Was it just the color? Or something else that made you return it?

Well, when searching for my OEC, I was looking for ivory in color. This M seemed more of a yellow. There was a big difference between the GIA L I have now and that GIA M. I also was looking for a higher crown, smaller table. And this diamond was also a tad bit too small for me. So all of it was personal preference. Nothing wrong with the diamond. I do gotta admit that the 1.66 had more fire than my 1.93 :)
