Just over a year ago I lost my lab Bella to osteosarcoma. We finally felt ready to get a puppy. I didn't want another yellow lab because I didn't want to be sad and compare to Bella. We ended up finding a chocolate lab girl who stole our hearts :)
She is 6 weeks old and will be coming home oct 28th!
Introducing Pippa :)

Awww She is adorable. Pippa is a cute name. How did you pick it? I always have the toughest time choosing a name for my fur babies.

I usually have a hard time too! Out of the names I picked, this is the only one my husband and I agreed on.

Thank you everyone. I went on a shopping spree last night to prepare and little Pippa is already spoiled rotten :)

I have not had a puppy in 8 years. I see a lot of new products for pet messes. Does anyone have good brands they like or any suggestions? I saw some pretty good reviews on Nature's Miracle brand, but with so many choices i'm lost!

OMG, Pippa is gorgeous!!! And she does look like a baby bear cub.
What a face. I wish I could kiss her and hug her in person. She is such a love!
Congratulations to the addition to your family. :appl: :appl: :appl:

ETA: I am so sorry about Bella. (((Hugs))) to you and your family.

Pippa is adorable!

Here is a much better picture the breeder took of her yesterday. We were too excited to take good pics! Pippa and her pumpkin <3

Congrats! Pippa looks like a real love bug!

hubby and I both think she is absolutely adorable!

oh my goodness she is so cute...

I haven't held or played with a puppy in SO long! Enjoy her!

OMG! Sooooo cute. I want a puppy (can't have one). Chocolate labs are one of my all time faves.

Oh stop. She is too cute! I don't know how you're going to make it until you pick her up! I'd have to make one of those paper chains where you tear a loop off every day to count down!

She is beautiful and I love her name. It really suits her. Congratulations!

Thank you everyone! I have a countdown on my phone and it seems like time is passing so slowly! We have a lot to do in our house before she comes, so that is keeping us quite busy!!

Congratulations- she is adorable

Hi Facet Girl, My puppy is now 3 years old and I swear by Natures Miracle. I have hardwood floors through out my home and Natures Miracle was a godsend. My dog is only 7 pounds full grown but she didn't get the hang of potty training until she was around 4 months old. She was 8 weeks when we brought her home. I also trained her on pee pads and she uses them to this day. She steps outdoors on to our covered porch, piddles on her pee pad and jumps right back in the house. She literally takes all of 1 minute. No sniffing for a spot... jumps out and goes. My parents dog has to walk around for 20 minutes until she finds the perfect spot. I also trained her to ring a bell on the back of the door when she has to go. These two things made life very easy for us.

Can't wait for you to bring her home. Please post lots of pictures.

She is soooo cute!!!! Start stocking up on chewy toys now  We are getting a new kitty in about a month and I keep looking at the pics of him on my phone - he is soooo cute but the waiting is killing me :D

Seriously, the cutest! I die!

I got my dog at 10 weeks old and she's now 1.5 years old. We used Nature's Miracle when she did soil the house - though we were lucky because she was housetrained very quickly and only had a handful of accidents inside.

A lot of people also recommend Bitter Apple spray for chewers. Our dog was, fortunately, not a chewer, but I've heard that it's great for keeping puppies away from chair legs and wires.

Congrats on the new puppy! She's adorable!
