Hello friends,

I may have mentioned I was "upgrading" my mint, only because the other is small (2ct). I loved the color and clarity though. Inken and I were discussing how surprisingly difficult it is to get this shade right. I see a lot of those drab, celery colors out there. And some folks love them! But I really prefer a more saturated pastel, like with padparadscha. Anyway, I returned a couple as of late, but finally found "the one." An elongated emerald would not have been my first choice, lol, but sometimes when every other box is ticked, you compromise. Here he is... 4.5ct and fresh from Germany. If you see a mark on the stone in the video, it was hair or lint. The stone is loupe clean.

Wow…. What are the measurements?

Beautiful Autumn and I’m celebrating because the play button is not blocking your gem for once so I can see it in its full glory.

Who is next on your setting list?

lol I think you can toggle at the bottom to make them full screen. And the only reason it's decently sized here is because it's in an OP. When I embed them in a reply... nope. So annoying!

This one is next I decided, poll results be damned!! It's no secret I went (and continue to go) gaga over this ring, which was originally commissioned by @endless_summer:

I couldn't quite find a 5ct in my desired shade, lol, but I'd still love to do a 5-stone design. I want to do something a little different though, as I hate straight copycatting, even if the stone shapes are distinct and this is a fairly common design.

OOOOoohhhhh...now this is my kind of stone!! Size, color, fantastic! How did you find it in Germany? I love hearing about the hunt! And is that your face on the video? You are gorgeous!!! I love your long hair! You definitely have to choose the right stone to adorn such a beauty as yourself! The stones have a lot to compete with!

PS--I am on record re-voting for this ring to be set next! lololololol

Ah I saw that stone when it was available, I love the relatively saturated color that still falls into 'mint' garnet territory.

Beautiful stone, thanks for sharing! :kiss2:

Would you be looking for setting inspirations or have you more or less decided on how you would like it set please?

DK :))

Oh I didn't realize my vimeo profile showed up when I embedded a video! You are too kind to say that. Thank you for the lovely words, truly. You made my day.

And yes, I'm already starting the design process!

I would love to see it in a pendant tho:P2

That would be cool! I feel like dainty pendants get lost on me though... which is probably why I wear like 3" Native American turquoise pieces.

Did you?! That's so funny. Were you shopping for mints or just happened to come across it in your travels? :geek2:

I had a general idea and now I've begun to hone in. BUT I can always use new suggestions! I sort of like to take a little inspiration from this and a little from that. :)
